  1. The group started to ready themselves.

Maia walked over to Endel. "Hi."

Endel looked up and smiled. "Hi, how are you doing?"

"Okay now I think... It was kind of horrible, stitching someone's arm..." Maia sighed. "I got pretty nauseous, but I managed. I'm glad I could do something useful for once..."

"Hey, don't act like that's the first time you did something useful okay? You saved Torianna's life. She would have died without you."

Maia shrugged. "I guess so... I just feel bad that I hurt her pretty bad. It must have been incredibly painful for her, without any anesthesia... But I did what I could..."

Endel smiled again. "Yes you did. How did you even know how to stitch a wound?"

"I didn't..." Maia admitted. She smiled weakly. "I used to make the Princess's dresses, so I know how to sew..."

He looked at her in surprise. "You had never done anything like that before?"

The girl shook her head. "No... I had to try so..."

    "Wow..."

"I know... I'm going to ask how she's doing, talk to you later," Maia said. Endel nodded, and she walked up to Torianna. "Hey, how is your wound doing?"

"It hurts, but I'll live," she replied.
"Okay... I'm sorry about Jaydon," Maia said. "I can't imagine how horrible it must be..."

    "Thanks," Torianna sighed.

Maia wanted to turn around when Torianna stopped her. "Maia?"

    "Yes?" she replied.

"I want to say thank you. For saving my life," Torianna said.

  2. "Torianna!" Maia yelled.

Torianna looked horrified, and she started to run. Maia followed her. Torianna slowed down after some time however because of her wound, but Maia knew where they were. "In here," she said while opening the door of her old room.

Torianna sat down on her bed. "Oh no, goddam- aargh!" Torianna yelled. She ripped some piece of her shirt, and pressed it on the wound. "What do we do? I'll bleed to death like this- No!"

Maia became sick with the thought that had come up in her mind. "I know how to sew," she said quietly.

    "Wh-What?" Torianna asked.

"I know how to sew," Maia repeated a little more louder now. "I- Maybe I can stitch your wound."

"What? You're not being serious right?" Torianna asked. Her skin was already very pale, and the piece of cloth became drenched with crimson blood.

Maia didn't know if she was being serious. Would she be able to do it? "We have to try. You'll die if we don't," she said.

Torianna looked pretty horrified. She slowly nodded.

Maia stood up and walked to one of her drawers. She took out her sewing kit to grab a needle and a thread. Then she walked to her medicine cabinet to grab some disinfectant.

"How do you know how to sew?" Torianna asked, her voice shaking. Maia had never heard her talking so fragile before...

"I err- I made the princess's dresses. It was very precise so.." Maia replied, trying to sound as confident as possible.

"It'll have to," Maia sighed. She crouched besides Torianna. "You need to stay as still as possible since we don't have anyone to hold you back. Are you ready?" she asked Torianna.

Torianna put a piece of cloth that she ripped from Maia's sheets in her mouth. She nodded and closed her eyes.

"This is going to hurt," Maia said while she put the disinfectant on the wound. Torianna started to scream and tears appeared in her eyes. She almost hit Maia, but stopped right in time. She punched the wall hard, which scared Maia a bit.

"Okay, try to stay still." Maia muttered to herself.

She inhaled and put the needle through Torianna's skin. The girl began to scream even louder, and she had a hard time to hold herself still. She was struggling hard.

"Sorry!" the girl yelled. The smell of the blood made her nauseous. Don't think about yourself, Maia reminded herself.

Maia put the needle across the cut, and into Torianna's skin again. Torianna screamed again, and for a moment, it looked like she would faint.  She stopped for a while, but Torianna took the cloth out of her mouth. "Continue. Make it fast."

Maia nodded and Torianna readied herself again. Maia repeated the progress several times, and each time, it seemed to get a little better, but not much... It must have been incredibly painful, and Maia thought that Torianna was incredible brave to not faint.

Maia herself, however, felt very sick. But also a tad proud. It was going better than she had thought.

"Last one," she said. Torianna nodded and readied herself for one last time, and then it was over. She lay down on Maia's bed, exhausted. Maia inhaled and exhaled deeply. It was over.

  3. Maia couldn't believe it. She couldn't believe that Endel was still alive! On the other hand, she never stopped hoping that he would return. And now, he was back! She hadn't been so happy in a long time.

She gave him a warm smile, and noticed that her cheeks were burning. She was hugging Endel. Oh goddesses, she was hugging Endel. She let go of him, and blushed even more. With her sleeve, she dried her tears, and when she looked up, Endel was still smiling at her.

Torianna and Lorcan were sitting on the floor. On first sight, they looked okay though.

A small cough was heard from behind them. "Maia?"

Everyone turned to look at the Princess.

Maia smiled. "Princess, I- I'm so happy to see you- I mean, I'm so happy to see that you're safe now."

The princess gave her a soft smile. "I'm happy to see you too, and that you're safe as well."

Maia blushed again. The princess had never said something like that to her before.

  4. "This place is a freaking maze.." Torianna grunted.

"Too bad I've never been on this floor..." Maia sighed. "I know the ones above by heart."

They continued to sneak around, without encountering much enemies. The guard that they had come across with, had been easy to sneak by.

"How are we ever going to find her..." Maia said quietly.

"Shh", Torianna said abruptly when Lorcan suddenly stopped. He gestured to stay quiet and held up 3 fingers.

Maia nodded slowly. That must mean that there were 3 enemies around the corner.

"What do we do?" Maia whispered as soft as she could to Lorcan.

Torianna was already peeking around the corner, trying to see what the exact situation was that they were dealing with.

"Is it bad?" Maia asked, almost too quiet to hear.

Torianna looked at her, and nodded.

    Oh Goddesses, Maia thought.

  5. "So she's not here?" Maia asked.

"We don't know, could be, but if they kept her here, they sure wouldn't put her here, with us..." one of the guard sighed.

Torianna began to open other cells a few steps away and she freed the confused soldiers, who thanked the group.

"Got another set of keys? Maybe I can help?" Maia asked Torianna quietly.

Torianna took a few keys of the key chain, and handed them to Maia and Lorcan.

Maia walked up to a cell and opened the door. The two guards that were inside looked up, confused. "Are you here to save us?"

    Maia replied with a nod.

    "Thank you.."

Maia gave them a warm smile. "That's okay... Hey, can I ask you something?"

"Of course," one of them replied.

"Have you seen anyone pass by? Brown eyes, blonde hair, average height?" Maia asked them, curiously.

    "No, sorry," he apologized.

Maia looked at the other one, hopeful. Much to her disgrace, he shook his head in response.

Maia sighed, too quiet for anyone to hear.

    "Okay, thank you...."

  6. Endel couldn't be dead, that was simply impossible. The group needed him... he was their leader... 'He's still alive,' Maia tried to assure herself. Her cheeks were still wet from her tears.

She was slowing down. She felt so horrible, so sad... She hadn't felt like this since her parents had died, and it really hurt.

Lorcan softly nudged her to encourage her to keep on walking, but she couldn't. He did it again, as if he wanted to say, 'come on, you can do it'.

She tried to smile as best as she could, and he replied to her with a smile as well.

They started walking again, and Maia was watching Torianna, who was a few steps in front of them. It was pretty obvious what she thought about Maia. She had seen the look on her face. Maia was pretty certain that Torianna thought that she was just a scared, whiny little girl that couldn't handle anything. But she wasn't, and one day, she was going to prove it.

But for now, Maia didn't exactly understand why Torianna thought she overreacted about losing Endel. It was perfectly fine to cry and sob when you lose someone in her opinion. He really was her only real friend in this group. She supposed she could call Lorcan a friend, even though they didn't interact much with each other. Her and Torianna were just opposites of each other, but it wasn't like she could do anything about it.

To keep herself together, she chose to believe that Endel was still alive, and that he was trying to find his way back to the group.

She could only hope that that was the truth...

  7. They were walking slowly, trying to make as little noise as possible.

"So we just go in and try to save everyone?" Maia asked Endel softly.

"Yes," Endel replied just as quietly.

"And Zelda will be there too?" Maia asked hopefully, biting her lip. She was so worried about her.

"We're not sure, but Ashei suspects so..." Endel sighed. "Let's just hope she's there."

He didn't tell her that the Princess would be okay, because everyone knew that she wouldn't be when they would find her.

"Shh, watch," Torianna whispered, pointing around the corner.

    "A hybrid..." Endel whispered.

"What do we do?" Maia asked.

"Should we avoid it or take care of it?" Torianna asked.

"We can't kill it, it's a citizen of Hyrule," Maia asked, a bit indignant. "Well, it was... What if the spell gets reversed once this is over?"

  8. It felt like they had been walking for days, but looking at the sun, it had only been a few hours...

"Are we even going the right way?" Maia asked Endel.

    He nodded.

"Well how do you know?" she asked.

"Just trust me, okay?" he insisted.

"Okay... Will it take much longer?"

    "I'm not sure..." Endel sighed.

"We'll get there," she said, walking next to him. "And if you worry about Torianna, I'm certain she's okay. She's strong, she'll manage to get out. I bet she's on her way to the castle now too."

"Probably, thanks, Maia," he said, giving her a warm smile.

    "That's okay," she smiled.

  9. "What's the plan?" Maia whispered. She and Endel were crouched, following the path and hiding behind rocks when they heard footsteps.

"I don't know yet," Endel replied.

"What? We can't do that!" Maia whispered, a little bit louder.

"Shh..." he told her. "If they see us, we're dead, literally."

That didn't exactly help to keep Maia calm. "But-"

    "Shh. Please..."

Maia sighed, but knew that he was right.

They decided to watch the guard bokoblins to figure out a plan.

Maia was very nervous, but hoped that she could trust Endel's plan, whether it exited or not...

  10. "I really appreciate it that you want to help me," Maia told Torianna.

She shrugged. "Guess it's better for you to be somewhat useful."

"I agree," Maia replied. "I'm sorry if I'm really bad..."

"We'll see how well you do in battle. Only then we can decide if you're bad or not. Just, don't freak out while fighting, okay?" Torianna advised.

    "I'll try," Maia answered.

When they got out of the carriage, Endel walked up to Maia.

"How was the training? Was Torianna to hard on you?" he asked.

Maia shook her head. "No, she was helpful. And I can't expect her to be really nice to me, she doesn't know me and I probably seem very weak to her. I don't mind it if she doesn't want to be friends."

Endel laughed. "I don't think she can be friends with anyone. But you can't blame her, look at the father she has... And hey, I hardly know you, and I'm nice to you right?"

"Yes, you are," Maia smiled. "Thank you, Endel."

  11. Maia felt proud of herself. Because of her sudden action, the group seemed to accept her a little bit more, since she finally showed some bravery. And now that she would get sword training from Torianna, she might get a little bit more useful. She wasn't going to admit that the moment itself she almost collapsed in fear, but she felt that she should do something, at that very moment. So when she saw an opportunity, she decided to go for it.

The idea to give her sword training didn't seem appealing to Torianna, especially since she was forced by Endel. Maia only hoped that Torianna would be nice to her, and Maia was determinant to show her that she wanted to learn, that she wanted to be useful.

  12. Maia ran quickly to the mob of creatures that Endel had called Bullbos. They were each tied with a rope without their necks and secured to a wooden pole. The beasts were rather large, and grunted at Maia when she walked past them. She needed to find something to cut the rope with. She looked around and saw a shard of glass, buried half into sand. She picked it up carefully and ran towards the beasts. She started cutting the rope, but they were very thick so it took her long. Finally, one of the beasts was set loose, and it ran away immediately. It began to shriek and bump into things, which took the attention of their enemies, which was exactly what Endel and the rest had hoped for. She had to continue on the rest of them, and after quite some time, the beasts were all running around, causing all kinds of uproar.

Maia decided to watch from a safe distance, since she didn't know what else to do. She was a bit ashamed that everyone was so skilled at fighting, and she was scared immediately, which had caused some sort of annoyance from some members of the group, but she understood them. She thought it was annoying too.

  13. "Are you okay?" Endel asked Maia, who was sitting on a bench in Telma's bar, clenching a cup of hot milk. They decided to come here to eat and rest a bit after the wild events that had occurred today.

    "No," Maia replied.

"I know you're worried about Zelda... But we'll save her," Endel told her.

"How can you be so sure of that? She's the Princess, they won't let her go so easily..." she sighed. She didn't want to cry, and forced herself to hold it back.

    "I know," he sighed too.

"If only Link would return... Why would he disappear in such needed times? And besides, I'm pretty sure he would never  leave the Princess. They were fond of each other, you know... I just don't understand it... I think that we need him to stop all this..." Maia concluded.

  14. Maia felt happy for Torianna. She was shocked when they had found out that her father was the one that had ordered her assassination, but she knew that it wasn't Torianna's fault. She could sense that Torianna disliked her, probably because she was weak and scared. But she didn't mind, she wasn't going to change... Still, she was wondering why Torrianna's father had wanted Maia dead. Not that she could ask, ever, and she doubted that Torianna knew the reason.

She was watching Endel. They had had a nice talk, and he was the first one to actually start a conversation with her. It seemed that he understood her situation and respected her. He could become the first friend she ever had, next to Zelda.

Speaking of Zelda, they were going back to the castle, to see her! Maia couldn't help it to be excited every time they went back to her home. She missed it a lot, but she convinced herself that travelling with this group, and being protected, was the best.

"Happy to see the Princess again?" Endel asked her. Maia looked at him. It still surprised her when someone spoke to her. She always thought that they didn't because they thought that she was just a scared little girl.

    "Yes," Maia answered. "Very."

Endel tried to smile at her, but it seemed fake, which confused her. But maybe it was just something that she imagined.

  15. (( Gonna back up a little bit to where Maia's in the carriage ))

She had seen the Princess! Maia was so happy, the Princess had looked happy to see her too! She wished that she could have stayed there.... She missed the castle... Not that she didn't like the outside and the adventure, because she did. She just wasn't used to it, and she didn't know if she would ever be. She wasn't entirely sure about her companions though. It wasn't that she didn't like them, they were just so, different. And they were thieves! What if they couldn't be trusted? Surely they would have tried something by now, but still.

One thing still haunted Maia. When the Princess had asked if anyone knew the assassin that had tried to kill Maia, she could have sworn she saw something in Torianna's eyes. It was only a split second, but she had seen it. Could she trust her? Could anyone trust her? Maybe this group didn't know Torianna as well as they thought...

  16. Maia was very surprised that no one had recognized her. Her 'Missing' posters were still hanging around in castle town. The others were probably very happy that no one had, but for Maia, it felt a bit like no one cared about her, not even the Princess... She missed Zelda, and she was sad that she hadn't seen her for the short time that she had been in the castle...

But with saving the children, she felt like she had an actual purpose now. Not like back at the castle, where her only purpose was cleaning and taking care of Zelda. She wasn't sure about stealing the clothes thing, but she knew that they had no other choice.

She was still very confused about that man that had tried to murder her. Every time she had thought about it, shivers went down her spine. What had she done wrong? She honestly didn't understand any of it. Maybe the others had their ideas about it, but asking and talking about it would probably make her sick. It would be for later.

She was sitting with Lorcan, who, as she had learned, didn't speak often. He was the most pleasant company she could wish, because she thought the rest was rather loud. With Lorcan, she didn't have to talk. She could watch her surroundings, and think about everything that had been going on, which has been the most in all her life. She was pretty nervous about the whole disguise and break in thing, but it was the right thing to do.

  17. Maia was shaking terribly. She felt sick, and suddenly she felt the urge to vomit. She fell down and threw up, tears rolling down her cheeks.

    "Are you okay?" he said.

Maia nodded. Of course she wasn't feeling good. She had no clue about what was going on! She hadn't even see the Princess and now she had to leave again? And why did that man want to kill her? She didn't do anything...

"You have to choose now, I don't have much time."

She didn't want to leave... Not again... She had been frightened and had missed the castle so much... It was her home- No, that wasn't true and she knew it. She was just a maid for the Princess, though she was her favorite maid... But still, did she mean anything to her? Maia had considered them pretty close, even friends, maybe. But she doubted that the Princess thought the same way of her. Not that it was any of her concern. The people of Hyrule had always considered her a cold person, but that just wasn't the truth. Zelda was kind, and what she only ever wanted was that her people were happy. It had always saddened Maia that her people thought so low of her.

    "Maia?"

"I- I don't know... I want to stay but... Why do you want me so desperately to come with you?" she asked.

  18. Was she really going home? Back to the castle? Maia was scared of the thief that took her but the fear of being kidnapped was finally over! For the first time in a few days, she smiled. She could already see the castle. She was going home.

The thief didn't say anything when they reached the gates. He ran away, and Maia was left alone. Luckily, one of the guards saw her.

"Quickly! It's Maia! The maid that was taken!"

They brought her back into the castle, and she was told that she would have time to take a bath, put on some new clothes and eat something. When all of that was done, they would come to get her to question her about what happened, hoping to catch her kidnappers.

Maia did what she was told, and she followed the guard to one of the rooms in the castle.

"When will I see the Princess again?" she asked.

The guard looked at her, surprised that she had spoken. "When we're done. Don't worry, it won't be long," he told her with an empathizing smile.

Maia nodded. They sat down and the questioning began.

"What do you remember about their looks? Their names? How many were there?"

"Ehm, there were five, I think... We met some other people on the way..." Maia said, trying to remember.

    "Okay, continue."

Maia had heard some names, but no one had actually introduced him or herself to her, so it might have been fake names.

"They never told me their names," she decided to answer.

    The guard nodded in response.

When she came to their looks, Maia felt odd... Like she didn't want to tell the guard... She could almost slap herself, what was wrong with her? These people had kidnapped her! They had taken her, and used her to do something she didn't even know she was able to do. But something was haunting her... It was not that she had liked being out there, but it was the first time in forever that she had met new people...

She sighed, and chose to mix the truth and lies together.  "There were three girls and two boys... They wore clothes that made sure I couldn't see their faces, I think they were all around 20 years old...."

    "Anything else?"

Maia bit her lip. "No," she shook her head. "That was all."

"Okay, if you remember antything else, let me know."

    "I will."

  19. Maia had been sitting with a nice woman, who had introduced herself as Telma, for a while now. They didn't talk about the fact that the group had clearly kidnapped her; even by looks you could see that Maia came out of the castle. Telma seemed a bit determined to avoid that topic, but Maia had figured that that was probably because she looked like she knew the group well.

They just did some small talk, and eventually, she asked Maia if she wanted something to eat. Maia had nodded, because it seemed like she hadn't eaten in a week. She was used to having plenty of food at the castle. She thanked Telma for the soup that she had brought, and watched the group play some game with cards.

She had to get away from them, back to the Princess... But how? She couldn't possibly escape, they were all trained and she couldn't even lift a bag of flour. But she hated being here, and she was scared...

"Will they ever bring me back?" Maia asked Telma.

Telma refused to look at her and shrugged.

Maia sighed. "I miss the castle..."

  20. Maia tried to comprehend what just had happened. She never knew that she was able to talk to such an amazing creature as the Great Fairy since she never knew she was a real Maiden. Watching the others, she sighed. The shaking had stopped, since they looked like they truly didn't want to harm her. She was so worried, and the Princess probably too. Maia had always been the only one that she could fully trust and be certain of that she would never leave.

She had decided that she most definitely wouldn't tell them that she was actually Princess Zelda's closest maid. For all they knew, she was just a maid that cleaned the throne room, or one that worked in the kitchen. She figured that it would be safer so.

After a short while, Maia finally dared to speak up. "Will you bring me back to the castle?" she asked, her voice still shaking slightly. "Please?" she added.

"When we're sure that you won't be needed anymore, we will," a guy answered. It was a bit annoying that she didn't knew any of their names, but she figured that it wouldn't be so smart to ask. They had kidnapped her after all.

She sighed softly. She missed the castle already. She wasn't sure if the Princess missed her as a friend, but as her maid, she certainly did.

  21. "Well I'm sorry," Maia apologised, "I really shouldn't leave the castle." Zelda needed her.

"Just a short moment Madame," he insisted. "It really won't be long, it's just to introduce you."

Maia bit her lip. She knew that she wasn't supposed to, but she was so curious. Why would these people, so high on the social ladder, want to meet her?

She was hesitating, but her curiosity won. She nodded.

    "Great."

Two other persons joined their small group. "Is she coming?" one of them asked.

    "Yes."

"Let's make sure you meet everyone," a man said and he put his hand on Maia's back to lead her outside.

Maia was feeling nervous. Something just felt, off...

"Here we are," a girl said.

  22. Hi guys! I'd like to join as well :)

    Name: Maia

    Gender: Female

    Age: 18

    Species: Hylian

Appearance: Long, wavy, light blond hair that she mostly wears in a top knot, though she prefers it loose. She has grey eyes that give her a mysterious look and long eyelashes, her nose is small but pointy and her face is heart shaped. Her overal appearance makes her seem very vulnerable and young. She wears a periwinkle colored dress with brown boots underneath.

Short character description: She is Princess Zelda's maid, and has the closest contact with her. They know each other since they were small, and when Maia turned 16, she had to start working for Zelda because her parents, who needed money to survive, forced her to. Her parents died when Ganondorf had taken over, but she chose to go back to Zelda. After Link defeated Ganondorf, they were reunited and Maia stayed. Even though Zelda was forced to give some of her political powers away, she still is the Princess of Hyrule. Maia gets a bed and food in exchange for her work. She is smart, but if she would ever find her way into combat, she would be killed in a second.

    -----------------------------------

"Maia?" Zelda's soft voice called her. This was the first time in a few days the princess had spoken to her. She had spend her days sitting in front of her window, thinking with a grim look on her face.

"Yes, Princess?" Maia replied. She carefully walked up to the Princess.

"Has there been any news at all about Link?" Zelda asked. She still hadn't glanced at Maia, and was apparently still focused on watching the rain outside.

Maia bit her lip. When the Princess had found out that The Hero of Twilight, Link, had dissapeared, she had simply nodded, excused herself, and sat in her room a few days. Maia had brought her food and tried to make her speak, but she refused. Even though she wasn't supposed to have heard it, Maia had heard Zelda cry a few times. Not loud but just, silent sobs. Maia could imagine how much pain she must have felt. First, she had to gave some of her political powers away, what she never wanted. Then, she had to hear that her Hero had abandoned her?

"I'm sorry Princess, but no. Nothing has been heard about him or his whereabouts."

"Oh," Zelda replied. She nodded. "Okay."

"Do you need anything else, Princess?" Maia asked.

"No, that will be everything," Zelda concluded.

Maia nodded, not that Zelda could see it, but she did it anyways, and walked out.

She sighed when she sat down on her own bed. What had happened to Hyrule? The land that was once so wealthy and beautiful, now forgotten and pitied.

  23. (( This was such a wonderful expercience! I really enjoyed it and I can't wait to RP with you guys next time ))

  24. ((Nayru, If this isn't what Fintan meant, tell me and I'll edit this post ;) ))

Leoni walks away, and I look at Fintan. "So you want to leave the Sheikah camp?"

He shakes his head. "I can't do that now that I'm the chief."

"What do you mean then? I don't understand what you mean by we can't stay here..." I admit.

He sighs. "It's just, our group is meant to be adventuring... There is so much to discover on the surface!"

"I know that," I reply. "But you can't...."

"Maybe we can," he says, holding my hands. "I think that we should build a community with an actual town and such, and then, we can do whatever we want."

I nod. "I like that idea. Will the Hylians and Sheikah live together though?"
