    So I bought a safety razor. (Remember those ads from the 50s?) It looks like someone dragged my face behind a truck through a broken glass factory.

      That's why I use a Schick Hydro 5, that is my go to shaving razor.

      So I bought a safety razor. (Remember those ads from the 50s? No, you don't, because you weren't alive.) But go with me here, because my face is clean-shaven and looks and feels great. It's a good thing I took my time, washing my face first with warm water, than sweeping slowly twice over with shaving cream and a softened badger bristle brush. I haven't applied an aftershave, because frankly I've had the perfect shave.

      That's what I did though. I actually showered first, I used shaving soap from a tub and a badger brush. I use alum sometimes, but I don't really like using it.
