Hey, how are you? How'd mid-terms go? What's the latest on the rp?

Hello. I havn't spoiled some secret plan of yours, by leaving a comment here, have I?

Mr. or Miss. Diagram, Chaos and Fractals: A Computer Graphical Journey, may prove an interesting read for one such as you... I only mean this in the most facetious way imaginable. Hello
  7. The Beguiling Bard » Stormsworder

I suppose its just one of those things. He'll show up again, this semester wasn't the best for me to jump into an rp, either.
  8. The Beguiling Bard » Stormsworder

So who's up for the rp?
  9. The Beguiling Bard » Sahaqiel

Yes, and "The boy without a fairy" is the crowning jewel of that collection. Or, perhaps I am a traipsing, green-hatted loner, that longs for the superficial companionship of strangers...

Nope, they were in Snowpeak all year. Ashei was searching for Taras, and when she found him, they spent the winter training. They actually cleared out his old castle, which he had abandoned to travel with what was left of his tribe. Neither knew of the attack on the castle, being isolated. The battle was a skirmish some years ago, between a band of gerudo thieves and the previous queen's a...

When did that happen? If Ashei left a year in advance before the destruction of castle town, to go get Taras, then they should have been snowed in for a few months. I needed a way of answering why an old man out of the service for so long, could all of a sudden be fighting again. My first post began with her leaving a castle town that was intact and tracking Taras to a clan in Snowpeak.

The moves are contained within the "Kamaro's Mask", in Termina. I guess it's a long lost form of expression. Yeah, I'll be posting something today, to get the rp rolling.

I like it. Louise the Cat-Burglar can also serve a practical purpose. She and the team of stray cats she trained will be sent on missions to retrieve things from places too dangerous for a person. Though, the caramel dance is too much "this universe". Instead, how about the kamaro dance?

Oh, no. That's not what I mean. Just because they have equal representation, doesn't mean they're all best buddies, but they aren't at eachother's throats anymore. The xenophobia is mostly played out in politics. I'll get myself an IM.

You and I are freedom fighters? That's ironic. Your first character enslaved a bokoblin army, right? Anyway, we'll have to work on a secret handshake and password for la Resitance. Just for laughs, Shad could wear a Guy Fawkes mask and carve V's into books he's read.

Farming in Ordon is a good choice. It could contrast the highly developed Hylians quite well. The Gorons are certainly steampunk, and the Zora are nautical mystics. The Zora King from Ocarina reminds me of the Buddah, how he sits so passively on his ledge, and his people still revere him for it. They are likely a model of zen Buddhists or some such. Did I already say the humans are quasi shinto?

I'm thinking there is a rift between the Hylain Knights and Human Knights. The humans get land grants in Snowpeak, as well as edu. and citizenship. It could be seen as favoritism, and many Hylian regular knights may have been working with demogogues in the Plenum to see the humans never get equal representation with the other races, playing on the prejudices of the people to sway the Royal ...

How do I get an IM?
Yeah, I like the possible conflict of creation beliefs, too. It makes them unique beyond looking differently. Yeah, the nations are far appart, I mean, Hyrule could "actually" be pangea or something similar in size. Naw, that'd be too enormous, but the point is we really don't know. I just like the idea of Knight-regents as govenors, otherwise they'r...

I'm cool with a warless Hyrule and one castle, but maybe small villas or govenor's houses in the country side? Just to keep a presence and protect against moblin raids on the farmers.

... size of their armies. They began using human "mercenaries", like Renard and Ashei, as temporary soldiers and Knights. They would give them land and citizenship for a stint in the outposts or something, then let them go. If you want, the Gorons and the Zora may be "equal" members of the Hylian Plenum, a central government that keeps the peace. They are subordinate to the Roya...

Ok, well, no wars to control them is fine, but couldn't they control them philosophically? I mean, Hyrule is the center stage of creation, in the Royal Family's myth at least, and the old wars were fought there. The idea being one might enter Heaven/Sacred Realm and steal the Triforce. Now, without a war in ages, everyone's at ease. The Royal Family may have been cutting back on the...

Others, like Renard, left the service to rule their lands, when Princess Zelda became monarch. Still others roam the country, landless and lordless, looking for work with whomever. Most of the Knights are killed off by now, but still other Knights are out there. You could also say the ways of the Knights were dying out. They were being replaced by bureaucrats. Just some thoughts for a back story.

I know you said the Knights were pretty much decimated, but would you make that loyal Knights? Pretty please? There are so many Knights out there, running their own realms within Hyrule, that not all would have been killed. Some Knights remain in their castles, ruling the land the Royal Family left to them with little supervision. [continued]
