I just got back in from watching the international space station fly over head. Very cool. It was like a really bright star moving quickly across the sky.

It's not flying Dustin, it's orbiting. Much like the moon is orbiting around Earth and Earth is orbiting the sun.

I've seen the ISS go overhead my night sky at home a couple of times. You just have to know what to look for and of course at the right time helps too.

I once saw it with one of the space shuttles coming up to it. Which looked like a large star being followed by a smaller star at a constant rate of speed.

It is really cool that we can see it.

Well it's relatively close to Earth, 220 miles (354 kilometers) away. You can also see satellites whizzing by, as well.
