"In a realm beyond sight,
The sky shines gold not blue,
There, the Triforce's might
Makes mortal dreams come true."

Before life began, three golden goddesses descended upon the chaotic land of Hyrule. They were Din, the Goddess of Power, Nayru, the Goddess of Wisdom, and Farore, the Goddess of Courage.

Din, with her strong flaming arms, cultivated the land to create the earth. Nayru poured her wisdom onto the earth to give the spirit of law to the world. Farore’s rich soul created all life forms who would uphold the law.

These three great goddesses returned to the heavens, leaving behind the golden sacred Triforce.

The Triforce was sealed away in a sacred realm hidden from Hyrule. Legends say the Triforce had the power to bestow upon its owner three titles that gave the owner great powers. They were: "The Forger of Strength", "The Keeper of Knowledge", and "The Juror of Courage".

Though many people searched for the Triforce and the entrance to the Sacred Realm, none found it. Except one man from the desert, who's lust for power was incredible. That man's name was Ganondorf, and he was the king of the Gerudo. Ganondorf found the entrance to the Sacred Realm hidden behind an impenetrable door in the Temple of Time. The door was open by a child from the forest with intentions of stopping Ganondorf, but with the door open, Ganondorf acquired the Triforce, and with his new found power, begun to drive Hyrule into a new age of chaos...

World of Hyrule is aiming to overcome all the issues that hinder major-name mmorpgs.
Where will World of Hyrule be different? Well, you don't pick a class. instead you level up each individual skill. For example, if you want to be a melee warrior, then by simply using say, swords, you'll increase your level in swordsmanship and thus be able to use stronger swords.
All games seem to have the same boring quests. Kill X of Y, Collect X of Y, Talk to Z. Even the main quests often suffer from this problem. World of Hyrule will have expansive puzzles, dungeons, and a storyline that you will actually follow in the main quests, instead of skipping.
World of Hyrule will have different AI for practically every monster. Monsters will NOT require attack-spamming to defeat, but instead tactic. You won't find yourself running into battle, tanking and waiting for the battle to end. Instead you may have to use certain weapons, hit the enemy in certain areas, and dodge special attacks.
Mmorpgs never have destructible environments, and weather can be pretty basic. However WoH will have a Complex weather system, with random counters depending on the region. Specific monsters will only be out at specific times, such as bats at night. And certain objects in the world will be destroyable, such as cuttable shrubs, smashable pots, and rocks that can be blown up.
You tend to find in most mmorpgs that each area is designated for specific level characters. A grassland may be suited for new characters, with lvl 1-5 monsters, and low quality craft skill resources. A baren further out may be 35-40, with medium level quality craft skill resources. Why so linear? This eliminates a lot of exploration and fun.
World of Hyrule will have special encounters and take a more varied approach. Hyrule field may mostly contain weak monsters, however scattered across may be higher level monsters such as peahats, and at night time, a rare chance there may be a huge stalchild! The Haunted wasteland may be a 'high level' area, however it may be filled with deposits of low quality ore, but be abundant. Death mountain however may have rare deposits of high quality ore.

Engine Features-

Alpha Blending - The engine supports ARGB, for nice blending and visual touches. This extensively allows for nice particles, shadows, and other visual effects.

Full color blending has been implemented to allow us to save your memory by drawing one object, but instead using the engine to adjust the ARGB for full color customization.

We have developed a particle engine that allows for realistic looking fire, smoke and thousands of other effects that can be applied to tiles, npcs and items.

Development-

World of Hyrule is still in heavy development. Being in development from scratch, we still expect at the very least another year before any sort of official release. From time to time, we will hold tests, in which we invite active forum members to participate in.

The forum has a great community. We invite you to join the fun!

Yep, I've known of this MMORPG for quite some time... I do hope it's finished at some point. c: It's the only Zelda MMORPG that has interested me to such a degree.

EDIT: I think it shares the name of an MMO that a member on here is working on, no, but really close.
