Stargate Universe

In two days (Friday October 2nd) SyFy "reinvents the wheel" with the series premier of Stargate Univers (SG:U) the third installment in the Stargate franchise (the others being Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis). SG:U takes a different approach than it's predecessors. While investigating a Stargate a group is attacked and escapes into the gate only to find themselves on "Destiny" a Starship that belonged to the ancients (the builders of the gates and Atlantis) stranded billions of lightyears with no way to reach Earth. It's similar to other Science Fictions shows like Star Trek Voyager and Lost in Space with a Stargate slant to it.
