BACK ON TOPIC:

If it was a split timeline then there would be two main dimensions (adult timeline and the child timeline) and the dimensions would overlap and the area where they overlap would be considered a parodox

What if the three games take place in the same timeline (the child timeline), while the adult timeline is completely forgotten?

So, OoT -> TP -> WW

The "Ganondorf's rising of power, and the Hero defeating him" could refer to the events that happened in Twilight Princess. Zant, under the influence of Ganondorf, stormed Hyrule Castle, and then Ganondorf took over Hyrule. Link then defeated him and saved Hyrule.

Not everyone will necessarily remember the same thing, right? So maybe an old man in Twilight Princess will remember Link as a "child", while a child will remember him as "an adult". In the end, it was assumed that the Hero was a child, after putting together the legends of the Hero of Time and the Hero of Twilight. By then, after what...a few hundred to a millenium later, the old legends were forgotten to most, except a few. Everyone then knew the story of Hero of Twilight.

What happened to the adult timeline? I don't know.

Darn, I wrote my theory somewhere, but I can't remember where I put it!

But OoT was split, and Majora's Mask was on the ame side as Wind Waker (I think) due to the split of the Triforce of Courage.
