So I decided to mash together mac os 10 and windows 7 together in a fully functional os and see what happens. I'm using xubuntu 10.04 as a base

I'll update as I go along.

PPS: Macdows 17 (Needs a better name; Suggest one!) is as slow as all get out. Now I must admit, I only have a 1 ghz possessor and 950 mb of ram, but it is awfully slow.

Well, you haven't fully meshed the OSs yet, so I figure it's gonna be slow as though you were running them separately on the same computer.

Found the first bug: There is a thingy called xorg (have no idea) That is leaking at times 50% of my cpu and 15% of my ram. next step: figer out wut th' durn thing does.

I personally don't use any... I used to, however, meh, I forget the name of it. I only used it for one occasion. I'd probably just google something up if I were you.
