Although Hyrule field was destroyed beyond recognition, the hylians were rejoicing in the great hall of Hyrule castle. The battle was won. Ganon had retreated to his hidden castle in a far off corner of Hyrule, causing his depleting army to retreat with him. All of the hylians, of course, except for the young hero of time. He had taken the royal party as an opportunity to plan when the best time for Ganon to strike again was.
