Reasons PSP stands for Playstation PWNAGE

So, yesterday, I bought a PSP for 25 dollars.

I downgraded to 1.5 and then upgraded to 3.03OE-C

Reasons it rocks-

Full speed Zeldas 1, 2, 3 and soon to come, Oot and MM.

NES emulation

SNES Emulation

Genesis emulation

Homebrew SSB game with creatable characters (Can you say "Sasuke Uchiha vs. Barney the Purple Dinosaur?)

Arcade emulation

Web browser

A FREAKIN' FULL SPEED PSX EMULATOR.

And SOME commercial games.

Anyone else like the PSP?

The PSP is alright for listening to music and internet, among a few other things, but Sony should concentrate a little more on the games....I think that's the handheld's weakest point, it's games.

To put it simply - Ds is more games focused, PSP is more multimedia focused (music, internet, movies)

Its funny - in that list of yours - most of those items are only available thanks to Nintendo (and other companies that are NOT Sony)

All in all, the PSP is okay as a portable gaming system.

Though, if i were given a choice of the two, I would choose the DS.

Exactly.

That's why I have both.

But the homebrew allows portable versions of Nintendo stuff.

Which is why the PSP rocks.

Portable classics and even full speed GBA.

It's crazy.

Sony /isn't/ getting credit.

I give credit to the nintendo lovers who put their time into making programs capable of playing Nintendo games on their powerful handheld.

It does seem to stress a point that most of the things you say are homebrew stuff

Looks like people are just taking what sony made and using it to their advantage, they still reamin as Nintnedo games, of course it being homebrew it's free, also illegal if you don't own the originals, and nintendo isn't benefitting from it at all...wheras Sony are to some degree...

Well, Sony doesn't get anything out of homebrew.

They DISCOURAGE homebrew and downgrades.

New PSPs won't be able to downgrade.

And, if people can use homebrew, people can download PSP roms and play them on their PSPs using homebrew.

Get what I mean?

Sony gains nothing and loses a lot of sales.

how does sony LOSE sales, with their machine capable of playing homebrew stuff it means MORE people will buy it for that, making more money for them.

They discourage it to cover their backs as well, in the same way that nintendo discourage using wiimotes with anything other than the wii, it's to cover their back in case something bad happens, so they can't be blamed.

The general public doesn't know about Homebrew.

You have to really look deep to figure out about it.

Workers at game stores aren't allowed to talk about it.

Sony does lose sales in homebrew, Because they sale the systems at a loss and they screw us on the games to make up for what they lost selling the systems. So if we buy them just for homebrew then sony loses a TON of money. But who cares homebrew ROCKS, Dark Alex is a God. How else could i make my psp totally custom I've got my psp' xmb (operating menu) Totally Zelda even when i boot up it makes the sound that twilight princess (wii version) does when you go to play it.
