Mother/Earthbound

I was just wondering, has anybody else on this site played any of the games from the Mother/Earthbound Series. I am a huge fan of it. I just wanted to hear some different opinions on it.

None of the earthbound games have ever been released in Europe

Yeah, I read about that under the Ness trophy in SSBM.

They weren't released in Aus' either. And nobody but Japan got the first one.

Oh my gosh Earthbound was like my favorite game besides ALLTP for the super nintendo. I awlsys has trouble on the 5 cops.

I also thought the end where you have to pray was so cool.

Those five cops in Onett were brutal with their crushing chops and such.

ANd the ending was cool, especially how you reach everybody you helped during the game.

Yeah! And moon side was my favorite place besides the temples where you get poo. how about you?

I actually found moonside a little creepy. And very annoying, if you didn't speak to Mr. Monobrow, you couldn't progress any further. I spent an hour just trying to get to the room with no doors. Then found out you had to speak to him.

As for the place I liked though, I would have to say Saturn Valley.

I'm going to Japan at the end of the year, and I'm gonna buy a copy, just so I can legally own the rom so I can use the patch from http://www.mother3.org/ to play it in English.

my brother owns 1 &2 on the gba. But its japenese so i cant use it like he can cause he remebers exactly what to do? like WTF

Sorry I took so long to reply, I've just been out of it with the flu.

Anyway, I'm lucky that way because I can read most of Japanese, minus the kanji, though I still don't understand most of it.

Currenly I'm making my way through mother 1. I 'm using an emulator to play the Earthbound Zero version (but I own the 1+2 cartridge).

I really wish they hadn't cleaned up Mother 1. They gave the gang/nasty zombies ties instead of blood, and they messed up shroudly by taking the blood off of his hand.
