Why does everyone say "Mehleh"?

I'm confused by why a LOT of people say "Mehleh" When it's pronounced "Meelee"! Want proof? Watch SSBM's Introduction. At the end, it says: Super smash brothers....MEEEEEELEEEE!!!!!!!!" Not: "Super Smash brothers....MEHLEEEEHHH!!!!"

...That would sound corny....

So why does everyone say: "Mehleh?"

Maybe that's how they pronounce it in Japanese English.'Mehleh' is probably how they say 'melee' in english,like how in spanish 'H' is 'J'.I always say Melee,though.
