in sonic the hedgehog one at the title screen press up down left right after doing that go back to the title screen and press up, c, down, c, left, c, right, and c now hold b and press start you will be at the level select screen! now highlight the level you want and hold b until you see sonic now press a and you will turn into a sprite! heres a vido of someone doing it:
