As we all know, Wii Fit finally released in Japan on December 1, 2007. The following is the report on the release by Famitsu, Japan's largest video game magazine, roughly translated from Japanese into English by Yours Truly.

The Wii Fit release! Television coverage also came to report the attention garnered.

On December 1, 2007, Wii Fit was released. Its original title was Wii Health Pack, which attracted a lot of attention. Body weight, center of balance measurement, and other forms of training are measured through foot fitness conduct.

Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto said, "What Nintendo DS did for the brain, the Wii will do for the body." Just before the release date, the CM has invested large amounts of money in promoting Wii Fit through the [Tokyo] Metropolitan Area, and just the release date was not enough media attention and large-scale promotion. Similarly, Wii Sports, another game in the Wii Series, has also been getting a lot of media coverage.

How were things on the game's release? The game relese date was sure to get a lot of the workers at Yodobashikamera Shinjuko Nishiguchi head offices interviewed. At 7 AM, there were about ten people. At 8:00, about 20 people, and 30 people at 8:30. The crowds were modest. But the crowds rapidly grew, and over a hundred people were at the counters at opening.

Sales finally started. The Wii Fit Package includes a balance board measuring 50x30 centimeters (19x11 in). There were one hundred workers in the store.

The package is reasonably sized. Carrying it is not easy!

It's impressive that people of older age are buying Wii Fit. Usually it's the core gamers that buy games on the release date, mostly men in their late teens and 20s. But this time, there are more men over 30, and especially women, mostly mothers. "Are they buying Wii Fit for themselves?" is a question that most ask. A young woman said, "My mom wants to be able to exercise at home." A father said, "My daughter has a Wii, and this would be a nice addition to it." A young man said, "My sister wanted it." It seems that more people are buying it so the entire family can enjoy it, rather than just for themselves. Nintendo has said Wii will be a machine loved by the entire family, and they seem to be doing very well accomplishing that.

Many people have learned about Wii Fit from television commercials. An interest by the whole family and the workplace have influence people into buying it. Many people already own a Wii, and when they buy this, it will mainly be just the software. It's primarily children that show interest in the Wii, but parents also seem to be taking notice. Wii Fit is attracting gamers of all kinds, plus those who want to go on a diet. Wii Fit has proven mass appeal.

Workers at Yodobashikamera Shinjuku Nishiguchi said that the morning turnout was "more than expected". They did not sell as many Wii consoles, because the people that showed up in the morning already owned one. The Wii was still in stock at the store by the end of the day.

From this article, you can draw that Nintendo focuses its advertisements much more in Japan than it does anywhere else. Also, Nintendo has still not announced when Wii Fit will be available outside Japan.

Only two reasons to get an XBOX 360:

Graphics

Halo 3

Why to get a Wii:

EVERYTHING ELSE

Newsflash: Wii can play xbox games. How?

1: Download desired game.

2: Use gamecube Freeloader

yeah, and so I can have 2 guitars on guitar hero without having to wait for them to release them seperately from the game.

and the good multiplatform games that devlopers are too lazy to get to work well on the wii.

and realistic racing games, although the only one I've got, the 360 decided to chew on, so now it's all scratched and broken...
