Marvel Zombies: The Movie

In 2005 Marvel created a comic mini-series called "Marvel Zombies" It featured an alternate reality (Earth-2149) seperate from the Marvel (616) reality. It was first introduced in the pages of "Ultimate Fantastic Four where teen genius Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic created a portal to view other universes and met an older adult version of himdelf. For a while we were led to believe that he was the 616 Reed but as the story progessed it became clear he wasn't. On earth 2149 an at the time ailment caused almost all super powered individuals to transform into flesh eating zombies the sudden appearence of Dynamite Entertainment's comic book hero Ashley J. (Ash) Williams [Marvel Zombies Vs. The Army of Darkness 1-5] believes it is the work of the dimension hopping Necronomicon, at one point it is believed that he is killed by a zombified Howard the Duck (but it is really his 2149 double). He later finds out that it is actually an alien infection brough to earth by a zombie Sentry who was seen in the last page of "Army of Darkness eating people awaiting entry into heaven by a dead ash. The world now totally devoid of human life the supers leave and in 50 years time have left the entire universe a lifeless mass of planets and stars which sets the stage for Marvel Zombies 2 (currently available).

No word on development of the movie or raiting but seeing as it needs to have the violence of the comics PG-13 or R would be the logical choice.

Until then check out the fan movie from YouTube. Warning some gore and violence those with weak constitutions don't watch.

Wow, I've never seen a really well made fan trailer before! Thats ace.

I don't think they'll make it into a film, simply for the fact it will not have a wide appeal to the average film-goers.
