Famitsu covers Japanese Brawl release

[i]Famitsu[/i] has covered the Tokyo release of [i]Super Smash Bros. Brawl[/i], which released in Japan January 31, 2008. Translated article after the jump.

More than 300 people appeared at Yodobashi Camera in Nishi-Shinjuku for [i]Super Smash Bros. Brawl[/i]'s release!

The first man in line waited since midnight. When the first bus pulled up around 6:00, the line grew to thirty people. By 9 AM, there were three hundred people in line! Many people said that local shops were unable to make reservations, which caused many people to rush over at Yodobashi Camera in Nishi-Shinjuku. Many of the people in line were old fans of the [i]Smash Bros.[/i] games. Most of them were men in their 20s. They said that they didn't make reservations.

The store opened at 9:15 AM, and the store was immediately flooded with people fighting to buy [i]Brawl[/i]. [i]Brawl[/i] released the same day as [i]Devil May Cry 4[/i] for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, which is another popular software title. But it went largely ignored compared to the hype over [i]Brawl[/i].

Also, a remarkable amount of people bought either a GameCube or Classic controller with their [i]Brawl[/i] purchase. You can play with either controller, in addition to the Wii Remote and a Wii Remote + nunchuck combo! We talked to a few people, and they all said they wanted to play with the GameCube controller. A lot of people are also looking forward to the game's compatibility with online play over Wi-Fi.

What?!? There are going to be lines in Canada? I thought I could just visit a store and pick one up! (I live in BC in a small place with 120 00 People)
