More on this after the jump!

This update is for all regions.

Official SDHC (To 32GB) Support! (Not Homebrew only anymore.)
And new: "Virtual Console Arcade" games!
And you can download games etc from Shop channel directly to your SD card!
This is handy for the VC/WW/[acronym="Virtual Console Arcade"]VCA[/acronym]...
Though it plays from NAND. (The internal 512MB space on your Wii.)
Not SD card cause that will be to slow...

To get the [acronym="Virtual Console Arcade"]VCA[/acronym] you have to update your Shop Channel.

For Homebrew guys:
If you use Trucha games. Don't update.
It also block Downgrading from now on. The firmware fix the IOS16 trick. (They install a new IOS16)
Again it blocks installing HBC and DVDX and TP Hack.
But HBC and DVDX and TP Hack are already back on this new firmware!
TP Hack will probably a other game I hear...

Alter the intro, Adr.

Nintendo just did release Wii Firmware 4.0!

Quick read more after the jump!

Should be:

With a solution (that word is alright, Adr but maybe you mean 'patch'?)for VC/WW games to copy to SD and play from NAND!
More on this after the jump!

Anyway, this is cool I guess. I'm not hacker like yourself, but I guess it could help for those who do...? :embarrassed:

I think it is so for them yes? :)

Thanks, I did add solution/patch... because it is both... :P

Hmm if you mean we gonna use their updates into Homebrew/hacking.
Than I must answer with: I don't know yet, we will see what time bring us.

But... it looks so cool...
Though, I'm gonna wait for a "patch update"... so we can stay on same firmware with only the add-ons and no blocks... :)
I'm not sure yet...
I must see more of the 4.0 blocks first..

Also, if you go on 4.0 make a pick of your settings menu (English) so I can use it in this news post? :) thanks.)

That is much better! Freed up tons of room on my Wii. And I don't have to add them back to play the games.

Nintendo stays failing on the update Piracy blocking... Sadly...
I would love to see Softmod FW Block etc... but no...

They patch the Patchmii IOS which isn't piracy...
They must get the Wanky IOS (249) and patch it. than Piracy will stop. (At least much better)

Also, this update eats the life time of your Wii.

The VC/WW/VCA or other channel you want to play from your SD card on 4.0, actually just copy the Game/channel first to the 512mb NAND (Nand is the internal memory of the Wii) (the Hard drive xD lol).
So each time you play a game from your SD, -that is what Nintendo wants you to believe- you just copy it to your Nand.
The Nand cannot Cary more than 100.000 writings...

Whit this feature it should easy take down that 100.000 writings life time of your NAND...

Think twice...

This update fails... :(

Not following.

Also, WTF does "NAND" stand for?

I gave up on the HBC after a while. Too hard, when everyone says "Oh it's so easy!" No. It's not. Stop saying it is, because it's not.

xD It is easy as breathing..
What do you not get about it?

Like I said about the NAND for you guys to make it easier:
The NAND is the Wii's hard drive... (Internal storage) of 512mb...

That's clear?

For they guys who know about NAND, don't blame me for calling it a hard drive okay?
Otherwise nobody understands... :P
