The newspaper I work for had an article about being single on valentine's day. It was the only article I would have ever refused to take pictures for.

That sounds like 10x more self-pity than the Imgur thing. It'd be cool if they were like "It's not that bad being single, but I've been improving myself and trying to find love." something like that that's not completely encased in attention whoring.

I think it was more along the lines of "what kind of ice cream should you eat a gallon of while watching Pride and Prejudice"
