Farming in Ordon is a good choice. It could contrast the highly developed Hylians quite well. The Gorons are certainly steampunk, and the Zora are nautical mystics. The Zora King from Ocarina reminds me of the Buddah, how he sits so passively on his ledge, and his people still revere him for it. They are likely a model of zen Buddhists or some such. Did I already say the humans are quasi shinto?

I'm thinking there is a rift between the Hylain Knights and Human Knights. The humans get land grants in Snowpeak, as well as edu. and citizenship. It could be seen as favoritism, and many Hylian regular knights may have been working with demogogues in the Plenum to see the humans never get equal representation with the other races, playing on the prejudices of the people to sway the Royal ...

How do I get an IM?
Yeah, I like the possible conflict of creation beliefs, too. It makes them unique beyond looking differently. Yeah, the nations are far appart, I mean, Hyrule could "actually" be pangea or something similar in size. Naw, that'd be too enormous, but the point is we really don't know. I'm not sure I'd even have much like that... I'm trying to keep with the geography of Hyrule in TP, so most farming places and stuff like that would be nestled somewhere within Faron or Ordon. It's pretty much the Hyrulean Guard that is in charge of protecting places, going on patrols... I petty much have three divisions of the Hyrulean army (royal knights, knights, normal soldi...

I'm cool with a warless Hyrule and one castle, but maybe small villas or govenor's houses in the country side? Just to keep a presence and protect against moblin raids on the farmers.

You really need an IM so we can discuss these points... XD The way I figure, the outside countries (since it's been so long) have probably developed their own belief system. Also, they might be VERY far apart, and Hyrule a difficult nation to enter... reasoning could also say that perhaps these countries saw the creation myth as a lie to make Hyrule head over other countries or something...

Well, how I have the land set up is that the country of Hyrule has only one castle, with the ruler being Zelda. Other lands outside of the borders of Hyrule still have their own monarchies and such, but Hyrule has participated in no war to try and control them... There wouldn't be very many people from other lands within Hyrule, honestly.

Others, like Renard, left the service to rule their lands, when Princess Zelda became monarch. Still others roam the country, landless and lordless, looking for work with whomever. Most of the Knights are killed off by now, but still other Knights are out there. You could also say the ways of the Knights were dying out. They were being replaced by bureaucrats. Just some thoughts for a back story.

I know you said the Knights were pretty much decimated, but would you make that loyal Knights? Pretty please? There are so many Knights out there, running their own realms within Hyrule, that not all would have been killed. Some Knights remain in their castles, ruling the land the Royal Family left to them with little supervision. [continued]

If you liked memento, you might like the Usual Suspects. The story's told in episodes, as well. You might also want to see Vertigo. It's dated, an Hitchrooster film, but it has a certain discombobulated approach to the story that's really nice.

Thanks then, but the only reason Ashei seemed like a good option was becuase she's the only character from Twilight Princess whose personality I have a good grasp of. The others either can't be used in the RP, or would be difficult for me to play as. Shad however is fairly well within my understanding, so it's all good. Besides, I don't want to claim every offical character.
