Posted 15 Apr 2009 So, the other day in Chemistry our teacher assigns us a lab involving timing reactions. Not a big deal, right? So I get with my usual lab group, who will be referred to as "K" and "T" (this is obviously a different K than last time). So, we do the lab without any problems and move on to the conclusion questions. We divide them evenly, doing a third each and copying the rest. It's how we usually do things, and it works. I got my lab book back with a grade. I got a 70 on that lab while my partners both got 85s. I'm like, "how is this possible? We copied!" So, I looked in their lab books. Guess what? We did in fact miss the same questions, but they only lost 5 points while I lost ten. On top of that, the teacher took off ten points from me, but not them, for format. Keep in mind that our reports are exactly the same, word for word and with the same page fomatting. I hate it when teachers do that.

Posted 15 Apr 2009 I think that's the reverse, actually. It's also not funny, imagine that.

Posted 15 Apr 2009 My Science teacher does that always does that. I really think she hates me. I got a 39/40, and someone else gets a 39/40, but they get a higher grade. I don't understand why teacher do that.
Posted 16 Apr 2009 My teachers do that sometimes simply because they're inconsistent. If you bring it up with your teacher, they should change it.
Posted 16 Apr 2009 My teachers scare me. The real reason is because they yell at one person, and the next thing you know you're getting yelled at for asking a question.
