Falling in love online

I think that falling in love with a person is as much a physical thing as an emotional/mental/spiritual thing. Speaking from a fairly unromantic standpoint, falling in love is a set of chemical reactions in the brain. A lot of those things are triggered by seeing/touching/being near the person. Every time you see the person you are attracted to, catch a whiff of what they smell like (hopefully flowers!), or hold their hand, a roostertail of powerful chemicals is released into the brain (endorphins and a million others I can't really name). This is what makes you fall in love with a person, in large part. I suppose it is possible to fall in love via the internet, but I think that it may not be a real, true love. Falling in love with a person using technology doesn't make sense. It holds none of the potential for bonding that falling in love IRL does.
