It is a level where you need to pass 3 sublevels to get the main item

The first three dungeons are not sublevels...

They aren't. The 3 "sublevels" are full blown levels which allow access to a chapel-looking temple that houses one item and has only about 1-3 purposes. As levels (why are we saying levels, I thought we called them dungeons ) they have (how I go by it) three main milestones that are hard to get to and help acheive the ultimate goal:

1. Deafeat the mini-boss

2. Get the item (right after the mini-boss and also basically the midpoint)

3. Deafeat the boss

Otherwise I see everything else as either a:

-store

-house

-misc.

-momument (in other words important buildings such as hyrule castle or said OoT Temple of Time)
