Have you ever finally done what you set out to do, only to find that someone else had done so much more? You can't repair broken glass, you can only melt it down and start over. And even then, it'll never be what it was before. The same goes with fire. Once the flame has burnt out, it will never burn as brightly as it had before. You can keep fueling it, prolonging the inevitable, but in the end, reality overpowers your hopes and dreams, and you're left in an open field of darkness.

FIFTEEN HOURS. I sat for fifteen hours in front of them on a bus listening to my best friend charm his way into my ex's heart. This 'ex' of course I still have feelings for. It's torture. Pure, unjust, torture. There is nothing I can fathomably comprehend that would be, or could be in any way worse.
