ive thought about trying these, but sadly theyre not that widespread, as far as seeing people wear them....they also wouldnt work at a job, or as a dress shoe.....though i love the concept.

Why would they have to be widespread for you to wear them?

Besides, I wouldn't think to use them as a work or dress shoe, they have their place they excel at, and that is what I use them for. I use Uniform shoes for work, I use those boots as a dress and casual shoe, a backup pair of dress shoes, brown boots, sperry's, my flip flops, I use every shoe for it's purpose. I guess I just don't mind spending a lot of money on what keeps me comfortable and appropriate for every situation.
