The May 2007 issue of Game Informer had this little rumor in their Rumor Mill.

Recently, the president of SNK revealed that Nintendo is restricting companies from adding online functionality to their Wii games - whether on the Virtual Console or regular retail titles - until after 2007. Nintendo itself only has one online title announced, and that is Pokemon Battle Revolution.

Notice nothing about SSBB.

Let's hope the reopening of SSB Dojo brings good news, shall we?

no, not confirmed as such, but it's almost like saying wii zelda will have link in it, it's almost a given.

Nope, that's just what they assume, it hasn't been properly confirmed yet, hence why we have this problem.

It would be a rel shame if it wasn't online, but it ought to be, as Relean says as well.

you either need a wireless connection in your house, a USB wi-fi adapter, or get a wired adapter for the wii, which im not even sure are out yet...
