Yeah, today and 3 days of last week we were watching movies involving about

every little kid show ever made... boobah, elmo, seseme street, and about

anything else you can think of!

I assume you were watching them in Japanese?

in which case, it might help you.

the shows are aimed at kids, and the language has to be simple so the children can understand it, and when learning another language it is good to get the simple words understood first before starting on other things.

If you were not watching it in Japanese then it is just plain stupid.

I love my Japanese teacher. She's good for a lost in translation laugh. She has the really thick Engrish accent, and everyone makes fun of it. But she catches on with it and even laughs at herself, so she's cool. The only thing I'd complain about her is that she makes me play the piano for Rajio Taisō at the beginning of each period, but even then they're so much laughter going on ("Sensei got cakes!" "Crank that Sensei!").
