Hello everyone.

I'm writing a book, yes you heard me... a book.

And I need to know something.

Here's the thing:

I want to use the name "Midna" in my book and I'll probably earn money with it.

So now my question is"Am I allowed to use that name without paying Nintendo something?

If someone knows it please post it here.

Oh ehm...

And there is another ting.

I need someone who is able to speak German and English cause I'd like to give you a preview of my book but If I would translate it it wouldn't sound as good as it sounds in German. (because of my weird English grammar):)

So if there is someone who is able to help me please post here too.

OK that's all

i've been taking german lessons at school since september 2006, but i don't think i'd be able to understand a full book.

and to be on the safe side i woulsdn't use the name midna in the case of ninteno company sueing or something.

but good luck with the book anyway.

surely you just need someone who's good at english because then you can translate it mostly and someone can just sort out your grammer.

Over names, I'm pretty sure it isn't TMed or something, it depends how much in context it is, but you ought to be fine, very little of the money you earn could be attribtued to you using that precise name. If you're worried, use a different name. It's only if you take the whole character that there could be a problem.

Thank you.

I'll use the name of a girl from my class.

And about the tranclation: My german teacher is reading it at the moment and if she likes my book I'll post the first Kapitel here and you all can try to translate it.

(But it's much work) (6 big sites

Well, your grammar skills are pretty good. I don't see much, if any, errors in them. And I'm kinda' known for grammar around here.

Either way, I don't think Nintendo'd sue for a name pull. It's not like no-one's ever used a name derived from "Midnight" before.

It'd be pretty awesome if you could put a Zelda reference or two in there, though, especially if it got published ;D

I know what you mean

I have soooo many ideas but my brother always plays wow at my computer so I have only less time for writing.

And I just started to write the second chapter, at the moment it's one site and a few sentences.

And because of the grammar:I don't think that I would write everything wrong (I know programs to fix that).

I just want the book to sound beautifully and interesting.

But I don't know every word in English, like I know in German.

OK that's all

I totally get you. Speaking norwegian is much more easy and natural compared to english to me. But after some days in england english also becomes natural.
