But I say, that L is awesome, and his awesomness was channeled from his grave into Near, and Near got a brilliant streak, and he found out what to do. It was all Mikami's fault. Posted 26 Mar 2009 If I remember.... Mikami died randomly in a prison cell.... What's great about that? And I think Matsuda shot Kira because he felt betrayed and a little angry and someone had to do something... From the writer's point of view, Matsuda was probably the best choice. Matsuda's finally a hero! He was always the funny hopeless one. I thought that it was great. Also, Ryu, Near doesn't deserve L's essense. I don't really remember that... I haven't watched all the anime, though. I've just read the manga. Maybe it's different? (Doubtful...
