well i've recently fininshed the "his dark materials trilogy" and i did very much enjoy it.

i really liked the ending, but what i don't understand is:

how could lord rowke break his leg; i mean he's 3 inches tall for jimethy's sake.

:huhwhat:

lord rowke was the awesomest gallevespian, how could he die?

yea, i like that trilogy a lot.

a piece of trivia you may find is if you look at my profile and notice where it says i live, well... :applause:

*averts eyes from spoilers* I just finished reading the Golden Compass, so I won't be reading that anytime soon.

Well.. I really like fantasy and historic-fiction-ish books. I'm actually particularly fond of David Clement Davies' work, especially the ever popular, 'The Sight'. I highly suggest his other books too, such as:

Firebringer

Fell

Alchemists of Barbal (YES!)

The Telling Pool.

:) I also am currently reading, 'Gone with the Wind'. Amazing book, if I do say so myself.

Also, To Kill a Mockingbird is a classic book. :)

I get annoyed when people say "I've finished reading The Golden Compass" because changing the title for the American audience is stupid. Why must they change Northern Lights to The Golden Compass? And the same happened to Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone! It's got nothing to do with a damn 'Sorcerers Stone'!

(I'm not angry at you though SK, you can't help being American/Canadian)

Right, back on topic, I like:

Phillip Pullman books (His Dark Materials, Sally Lockhart Series and other books)

J.K. Rowling Books (Harry Potter)

J.R.R. Tolkien (The Hobbit, LOTR ((I lost my LOTR book one when I began reading it so I can't really count that as read)))

I'm not too certain on the name but they wrote: (To Kill a Mockingbird, which only just started reading)))

And I can't really remember anything else.

The title of the book was changed originally? Really?

*goes to check online*

Wow... you're right! And Philosopher's stone and Sorcerer's stone are basically the same in meaning (though I like Sorcerer's stone better lol)

There's a big difference between a Philosopher and a Sorcerer.
