Hyrule Online Beta Released - APRIL FOOL'S DAY JOKE.

After someone inadvertantly leaked screenshots from the secret Hyrule Online 3D, we have decided to open the project to OPEN BETA.

The project was on hold because of the testing of the 3D use, but somehow the screens got into the hands of a user we suspect is a hiding member. We're looking into it.

Follow the jump for pictures and a link to download the installer. Once downloaded, unzip the file and run the installer to begin downloading the game files.

The Harp of Ages is used for time travel to visit past lands.

The Rod is to reach places by growing vines, freezing lakes, etc.

This is the starting area.


As you can see, Skull Kids are playable.


Rocks are now super fun.


New weather mechanics.

If you look closely, you'll see a tattoo of the Sheikah Symbol.
This is a discreet mod mark.

... Why is it not downloading correctly? I clicked open-- I like to test out things first before I save them-- and when I clicked allow, Vista, it gives me an error...

Dustiiiiiiin, fix the file, we've been waiting for over a year now, and the you messed up the link. :<<< I wanna play the game so bad, now that I've seen the screenshots, I can see why it took so long, but c'moooon, fix the link. I only got to play the Alpha version of it, and I've got to say that it wasn't bad, but now that I see the beta SO CLOSE, I REALLY NEED TO PLAY THIS.

For some reason the zip file won't work for me either. Is it my computer? Man, I have dial-up, so that took a looong time to download.

By the way, the screenies are awesome! This game looks beautiful! The graphics are MUCH better than RuneScape. Is that whats been taking so long, Dustin?

I did, in fact, make most of the models, and various people helped sprite.
I released some work in the Art Gallery in hopes of criticism but nobody posted.
It did take a lot of time and effort, but Dustin pulled it off.
We didn't want to reveal the reason it was on hold in case it didn't work.
Didn't want to disappoint.
Also, Merchant, read the whole thing.
