Life is full of coincidences, some very minor, but occasionally - extraordinary. This is a list of 15 of the most incredible, unbelievable coincidences.

15. Childhood Book

While American novelist Anne Parrish was browsing bookstores in Paris in the 1920s, she came upon a book that was one of her childhood favorites - Jack Frost and Other Stories. She picked up the old book and showed it to her husband, telling him of the book she fondly remembered as a child. Her husband took the book, opened it, and on the flyleaf found the inscription:

Number 1 doesn't seem to be nearly as coincidential as number 15. I guess they're not in any particular order.

The Abraham Lincoln/JFK coincidences are more odd than any of these.

* Both presidents were shot in the back of the head, around the same area

* Lincoln was shot in Ford Theatre and JFK was shot in a Ford Lincoln

* Lincoln's assassin shot him from the theatre and hid in a warehouse. JFK's assassin shot him from a warehouse and hid in a theatre.

* Lincoln had a secretary whose last name was Kennedy, JFK had a secretary whose last name was Lincoln.

* Both were shot on a Friday, before a holiday.

* Both were seated next to their wives when shot.

* Lincoln sat in Box 7 at Ford's Theater. Kennedy rode in car 7 in the Dallas motorcade.

* Lincoln died in the Peterson House and Kennedy died in Parkland Hospital. (Both had the initials P and H)

* John Wilkes Booth and Lee Harvey Oswald, the assassins of the presidents, both had 15 letters in their name.

* Both assassins were privates in the military

* Both assassins were shot down with one shot from a Colt revolver in a blaze of light. Lincoln's assassin set a warehouse on fire, JFK's was in front of television camera lights.

* Both presidents were named for their grandfathers.

* Both were born second children.

* Before each was elected to the presidency, each lost a sister to death.

* Both married dark-haired, twenty-four year old women.

* Each couple had four children, two of whom died before becoming a teen.

* Lincoln had sons named Robert and Edward. Kennedy had brothers named Robert and Edward.

* Both knew a Doctor Charles Taft. Lincoln was treated by Dr. Charles Sabin Taft, M.D., who was the half-brother of son Tad's playmates and chief surgeon at the Judiciary Square Hospital. Kennedy knew Dr. Charles Phelps Taft

* Both presidents were first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in '46

* Both were elected to the presidency in '60

* Both Lincoln and Kennedy were succeeded by Southern Democrats named Johnson.

Some of those are just a bit scary.

And there are a lot more.

But it makes you think.
