My aunt busted herself up with one of those XD

It was serious injuries too ^_^

She had her friend's mom(a nurse) fix her up, it was bad. She had to miss a soccer practice.

'cough' back on subject....

I REALLY want an online Zelda, where you do NOTHING BUT FIGHT. There's a minor storyline, but that's only to unlock the other characters pretty much >_>

IT WOULD BE SO FREAKING COOL!!!

Maybe a new Paper Mario? (Gameplay like the good olde' days, not like Super Paper Mario.)

a new elder scrolls game, Guitar Hero 4 (possibilty. Not likely though), and maybe an rpg game of epic proportions based off of the card game franchise, "Munchkin Madness" (but that would be impossible, seeing as you have to be a nerd in west hollywood to even know about the game, much less play it). Oh, and could I have online play with both those roleplayers, please?

I'm hoping it's Animal Crossing for the Wii, or perhaps a new Zelda game, but I don't think that's going to happen.

MOTHER, WOOT!! :D (I wanna play it :( )

A really really really good RPG(They almost never get old :joy: )

That's the same thing. :)

Seriously though, I want a new Zelda.

I'm really tired of playing the same game with a different subtitle next to The Legend of Zelda.

- interesting overworld maps

We've all seen the stupid giant fields. Now imagine the overworld of Link to the Past, or Link's Awakening. Every screen is packed full of enemies and interesting things. Why don't they just make the entire game interesting like that, 'cept in 3D? This could allow for some really interesting level design, and they could still have variety in the areas through connections via caves, towns, etc. They could still have an icy lake, they could still have some woods - just make the areas connecting them interesting. It doesn't have to be environmentally sound, as long as it's interesting.

- interesting fights

While fights in 3D Zeldas are generally awesome at first, they're pretty much avoided by using ranged weapons or spamming the slash button. Fighting more than one enemy automatically equals spin attacks. Wind Waker's fight system was awesome because it was reaction-based AND you could pick up enemies' weapons. They need to come up with a universalized system that makes it so fighting 3 enemies is as fair as fighting one, it's just harder. A press-A-reaction system is good, as is the idea that blocking at the right moment stuns the enemy for a moment, whilst just holding your shield out causes the enemy to rush you or something. Going on the offensive would still work, you'd just have to watch out that the enemy isn't guarding. Or maybe the enemy will dodge. Or maybe they'll make palette switches that have slightly different attack patterns.

- don't make boss fights the same forced pattern repeated 3 times before you can attack

Seriously. It's getting old. You can repeat the basic premise each time, but for God's sake, at least make each repetition interesting. Good example is the spinny desert boss in Twilight Princess, or most bosses in Wind Waker. Bad examples are pretty much every boss in Twilight Princess.

If the boss fights were more than "I'm the boss - hey look at this BIG ORANGE SPOT ON ME I WONDER WHAT IT DOES; let me zoom the camera just in case it wasn't painfully obvious already" in TP I probably wouldn't complain about it near to the extent that I do. There's really nothing worse than feeling like the 'big bad dungeon boss' you've been running around in almost worn ritualistic fashion solving puzzles and opening chests to get to is beaten before the entrance cinematic is over.

Also, no more of that ridiculous "this rupee is worth 10 rupees, just in case you forgot the last 40 times I've told you, or you know, don't know how to count"; LoZ has a lot of things like that make it feel like your slogging though the game rather than playing it - they really need to learn that NO, it's not cool to constantly interrupt the flow of the game for this ridiculously unimportant piece of information or that overwrought cutscene.

sequence breaking

Let. Me. Go. Everywhere. Let me go to the swamp. I don't want to be tied down. Obviously some heart pieces or some places would be stupid if you could go there right away, and the player shouldn't be overwhelmed by the world. Think LttP - the game's world is big and you have almost everywhere accessible and it becomes much more accessible with each dungeon, but they tell you where to go. When do you go to the woods? Whenever you want. When do you enter the ice dungeon? At any point after you get the gloves. You can even go to the second dark-world dungeon first, if you really want to.

What I'm saying is that, if there's a random castle somewhere that you can access at anytime that has awesome stuff in it and a new, cool item that no one ever TELLS YOU to go get, that would be sweet. More power to the player = more fun. Look, when I'm 10, I'll like it when you'll hold my hand so I can actually beat the game, but when I'm older I want to see the world for what it is.

plot

The plot can be epic, but it can support sequence breaking. Imagine LttP except with with awesome, deep FMVs everytime a lame plot event happened. It still works. Heck, it's pretty much even better than Twilight Princess's plot. Link is a solitary hero. Giving him friends is a bad idea. Wind Waker worked fine, though. It's like... Link even had a family and friends, and it was cool, but it never got obnoxious.

good level design/item design

Level design should make you think, and dungeons should be mysterious and mind-bending, but it shouldn't be that the player can't figure out what to do because they forgot that wolves can walk on ropes or something stupid like that. In general, how do I press this switch is much, MUCH better than where is the switch, unless the switch is in a clever location and is part of the puzzle.

Items in Twilight Princess were pathetic. Spinner and Dominion Rod were lukewarm, but had lots of potential. Ultimately they were just "beat the level" items. LttP doesn't HAVE any of those. Lighting lamps is totally optional and gives you a fuzzy feeling. The block staff can even double as a clever projectile weapon. Heavy rock? Throw it at an enemy and watch them explode!

In Twilight Princess, you have a COMPLETELY useless slingshot which deals no damage. The spinner easily could have been great if you could do drive-by-cuts with it on enemies, and the dominion rod's use could have been extended and made for a lot of fun if you could control bats or other weak enemies with it. What if you were fighting an enemy that was rushing toward you, and you used the Gale Boomerang to pull a pot from behind it toward you so it hit it in the back of the head? Also, besides speed and certain "smell" or other forced puzzles, why would you ever be a wolf when the human form is a million times more versatile? The development team was thinking more about "so, what should the item be that lets the player finish this dungeon" and not "what kind of use does this item have outside of the level? What makes this item fun and worth implementing?" Generally, items should stand on their own if you find them in a treasure box in the middle of nowhere, like the ice rod in LttP.

formula

- 3 dungeons, a few more OTHER DUNGEON SET, then last dungeon with rehash of previous material

no

if I am going to be collecting things, let me have some control over the order of the dungeons

if I am not collecting things, at least this will be remotely interesting

- bad guy WHOOPS GANON

agahnim = ganondorf = ganon

ganondorf = ganon

zant ... um ganon

megaman badguy = dr.wily/sigma = ganon's slave = ganon

NON-REHASHED PLOT

How about Agahnim comes back, and so you think it's Ganon, right? And there are obvious clues pointing toward it being Ganon, and so you're like "well it's just gonna be Ganon." Then, finally, you fight Ganondorf, as expected, and then you finish him after a suspiciously easy battle. After Ganondorf falls, you realize "wait, didn't ganondorf die standing up in an incredibly manly fashion... wait a second"

then you realize that ganondorf was so easy to beat because... "*gasp*... I no longer have the triforce of power..." then it turns out that the badguy all along was YOUR DAD and he had acquired the triforce of power and he was hoping to cultivate the triforce of courage within you by sending you on some freaking hokey adventure in green clothing, just like it worked for all the other people (he only had you for this reason)... he already killed zelda and took the triforce of wisdom... he will make a new golden land... one where he is king... and they don't make fun of him at work

... that's when he realizes... that it was actually dennis that has the triforce of courage... dennis daring... and that he has just ruined his plan... he is like "well son... do not tell anyone, and you will not be my slave in my new golden world after I kill dennis..." but link grits his teeth and blocks the door and he is like "very well then... it looks like u r just a chip off the old block... in fact in a few minutes you will be just a chip on the block... a chip on the block of ground you are standing on!!!"

... this is when you fight your dad... he is really tough... after you defeat his first form... he coughs blood and feels insulted that he underestimated you... he figured someone without the power of the gods was useless... this is when his eye twinkles and your hand glows with a golden triangle... the power of the triforce is really with those who believe on the inside that they have the power... he realizes what is in moments within his power... he taps into the power of the triforces to become this creepy giant head with a blue mage body coming out of a hole in the left and a red warrior body coming out of a hole on the right and you have to fight him

he is about to die... but he then believes in the power of courage... then his head splits open and starts barfing magic and out of the shell of his bloody magic skull erupts an enormous, evil body with a trident-sword and a horrifying face... his body changes size and movement repeatedly, never staying the same shape, sort of like an actively-changing Nightmare... after an epic swordfight he dies... but will Link, the new king... ever be the same... after the death of his father...

Thank you to Casgair and Radiation of Starmen.net. They wrote the majority of this, but I agree with them to a T; which is why I've chosen to copy and paste their posts and put it here.

That's the greatest thing ever :ohmygod:

What would be really cool, is just ADVENTURE!!! Dungeons....boring Zzz Why can't they have fields and creepy traps, and all kinds of that stuff. No, they have one big stupid boring dungeon that has little enemys and you can beat it within minutes.

Boring.

I want a Zelda WAR!!!

Where Link actually has to fight, not swing his sword a couple times.

Actually I like the idea that you're no bound by the plot. Just go to whatever the hell dungeon you like. If theres one where you need the hookshot, go and find it. I think it would be quite comical actually. Link walks into a dungeon where he needs the hookshot. "GOD DAMN IT! I DONT HAVE THAT ONE YET! GOOD GRIEF!" *grumble* And he walks out of the dungeon with a face similar to this: >|:[

I could come up with thousands of LoZ ideas for Nintendo, my mind is full to bursting with Ideas at the moment. :(

But they wouldn't listen to a simple 12-year old. They'd just keep making games that equal epic faliure to many use-to-be fans.

I knew two people(used to anyways) that don't like zelda anymore due to:Toon look, TP's graphics, plot, storyline, and boss fights. And then they were both upset with the whole 'sailing' part. Boring, drug out, and no action. That's basically what they had said. They no longer like zelda

Im fine with that, it just gets boring after a while. I want an endless Zelda, like HyruleOnline.

Yeah, you realised that after everyone finished TP, Zelda was becoming an epic failure. Cmon Shiggy, give us something new. Right now, its boring and repetitive gameplay and storywise. Dont get me wrong, I loved TP's story and all, I love all of the plots behind the Zelda games. They're great. They just get repetitive.

Its sad your friends lost their fandom due to graphics. Gameplay>graphics. Always.
