So, as of may 6th, the previously Japanese - only Lucky Star is now in English. So, what do you think? Is it good? Should they have even bothered? Are some of you still annoyed by them constantly talking about food? Speak! Share your opinion!!!!!!

I don't mind the dub. It's pretty good, in my opinion.

And yes.

THE FIRST EPISODE I CAN'T STAND. >_< Oh well, I'll try watching it again soon.

If I can get past the repeated food conversations in the first episode. -_- I got quite bored watching it the first time through, and I never got past episode 1 lol.

1. I don't know what channel. I just look it up on Youtube. Also, they have DVD on Episodes in Fours.

2. What's Lucky Star? Look it up on Wikipedia. That's what I always do.

Rofl. I know they're almost in college, but Konata sounds like a late-20's person. I don't really like dubs; the English voice actors seem way too exaggerated. Like, if they're supposed to sound angry, they add a special sound effect to their voice or something. The Japanese voice actors actually sounded annoyed. XD

I dunno, it seemed a lot more chibi and cutesy with the original voice actors.

So I shall prefer the subbed version. *Nods*

Okay, I'm changing my answer as to whether I prefer the dub to the sub. I just actually watched some eps of the sub, and I watched an episode with the dub. Subs better, much better. But the dub's not bad, IMO.

Konata sounds normal for her supposed age and everyone else sounds underage, rofl.

I dunno, their voices just don't sound very chibi, and the whole anime is styled in a very chibi way.

Stephanie Sheh did a great job as Akira Kogami in my opinion, although was surprised that she was Akira in the English Dub. I mean, I've only heard her in animes that have her as a shy/quiet anime character (Mikuru from Haruhi Suzumiya, Eureka from Eureka SeveN etc.)

Konata's alright, and everyone else seems chibi enough (maybe too chibi, I dunno. :embarrassed: )

It's a popular anime made by the same dudes who made Full Metal Panic! and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

But you don't like anime.

So just avoid anything with "dubs" or "subs" in the name.

Unless it's about tires or sandwiches...
