things you do because of video games

If I wasn't a gamer, I wouldn't be who I am today. Most of my inspiration comes from the TLoZ series, but other games have affected my life as well.

* TLoZ is what inspired me to draw.

* TLoZ is what inspired me to play/write music.

* TLoZ inspired me to get into costume design.

* Resident Evil helped to inspire me to become a fighter (join the Army, basically).

* Metroid inspired me to become a webdesigner.

* Video games in general taught me how to read, and they helped to develop my vocabulary.

...and the list goes on.

Majora's mask taught me that if you go to school wearing majora's mask, your going to get your ass kicked.

Majora's mask taught me to sword fight as well.

Majora's mask taught me the true value of friendship. Yeah right. I just made a funny.

OoT taught me that time travel is confusing.

Wind Waker taught me how to perservere and to secede even though it gives me headaches.

WW also taught me how to use a walkthough theroly.

Looking deeper into what video games have taught me, I've realized I've learned more than what I stated in my post here before.

Pikmin - Taught me there is power in numbers. Also taught me the use of strategy besides just attack.

Resident Evil - Taught me that humans can accomplish things far above expectations, if they don't let fear get in the way. In a way, it also inspired me to get stronger.

Sonic - Inspired me to run faster and be more agile.

Wind Waker - I learned that sometimes important things must wait until the right time comes. (Link was not ready to save his sister at first, or even stop ganondorf after acquiring the master sword.)

Majora's Mask - Learned to forgive friends, and never give up on them.

007 Nightfire - Inspired me to be a little more discrete, and how sometimes you can hide only half of your body, and still be out of someone's sight range as long as I don't move. (This has actually worked for me more than half the time.) :embarrassed:

Metroid Prime - The image gallery in the games kind of inspired me to draw, and be in Art class.

I did that once. :( It didn't end well.
