DSvision allows Japanese DS users to download anime, manga

After an unannounced delay, the DSvision downloading service is finally hitting Japan, allowing users to download everything from music to manga.

DSvision, which was originally set to launch the past March, is now up and running in Japan. The service allows owners, at a small fee, to download media licensed by Japanese giants AM3 and DaiNippon Printing--music, movies, anime, novels, and even manga, all specifically formatted for the Nintendo DS.

The DSvision bundle, which retails for 4000 yen (approx. USD $38), includes a 512 MB microSD card, a card adapter in the shape of a DS game cartridge, and a USB adapter. Don't say that, I bought that game when I went over there and, trust me on this, you don't want to play it.

Anyway, this is pretty awesome. But it will probably never get outside Japan.
