Posted 24 Jul 2008 I barely got my computer back from being fixed at a repair shop, and EVERYTHING was erased. Music, photos, ect. I was starting to get over that, when I plug my iPod in...only to have all 800+ songs to be erased! I spent countless hours downloading and finding lyrics for most of those songs... It'll take me at least four months before I get my library looking as big as it used to.
Posted 24 Jul 2008 Backing up your files is an important lesson to learn. its painful when it happens and you have no old data to go off my advice is to start a list of songs you want back, and just jot down songs every time you think of them.

Posted 24 Jul 2008 Sorry to hear that. That happened to me once. I know how to fix it. Let your ipod die, and then charge it. That's how I got all my songs back.
Posted 24 Jul 2008 You should've backed up your files, I have jump drives for that reason.

Posted 24 Jul 2008 (edited) He said all his files got erased as well. Wait. How would your ipod lose songs from on the computer? I accidently sinced my iPod with the new iTunes I downloaded. It replaced everything on my iPod with what I had in my library at the time (Two sample songs). I guess that was my fault... At least I'm sure it won't happen again. Thanks for the advice. Posted 24 Jul 2008 I suggest buying an external hard drive for music and video and games. Any important documents should be backed up as well.
Posted 24 Jul 2008 I'll probably do that once I get money. I'm broke now, though... Good thing this didn't happen during the school year, or I would have been screwed on my English Portfolio. (I would have needed to reprint important saved school documents.)
