Nabeshin, I like the way you think. His apperance in OoT as the mask salesman was just by a whim of his, sort of a signature, it was MM where he decided the guy would be a central figure in its parallel world.

The Happy Mask Salesman most likley left for Termina when Ganon took control of Hyrule. so thats why link is still a kid in MM

my kinda theory: that because link in oot played with the skull kid he could remeber him so when link fights mojara the skull kid fights the mask to break free of all the bad emtoins that the mask causes

and with that slplit time thoery that playing in oot never happind unless link played with the skull kid before he left to go look for navi and also i think that link smells like the forest wich the skull kid likes

were or who is the skull kid maybe he is links friend and thats why he payed for sum of the mask sorry if i copy otheres thoerys.

1 more thing skull kids are a ment to by shy so maybe link plays hide and seek with him.

and the skull kid is in tp what happins then he seems to be gaurding the temple.
