My Wii camp story.

Yes, Leon has posted another news for Hyrule once again >.<

Well let's start:

It's November 18. 6:00Pm

My cousin called me. He said there is no lines for Wal-Mart. I told that I'm broke. He said he would pay me 100 bucks if I come and get a second Wii for him. He wants to make profit via Ebay >.<
The Wii sales starts at Wal-Mart at 12AM

Well I said sure why not not. So I came along. We went to Wal-mart at franklin mills which was very far from my house. We got there by my cousin's friends who drove us. So we went to Wal-Mart. Ask the dude how many Wii's are there. The dude said about 20. My cousin swore that when he called there must have been 25 left. I guess that is for the employees. >.<

Well the dude also said that it won't be a line for the wii, becasue of the chao for PS3 last time. Every will have a chance by a raffle. What?! 20-150++ chances dude. Seems impossible. Oh well. Then not everybody is goint to have a wii. Well the tickets will be given out at 10. It's 8. Mind as well head to the mall for a few hours. While walking though the mall. I went to a game store, and there I saw it. The nintendo Wii.

It's the first time I seen it in real life. Two people were playing it. Then they looked at us and said " Do you wanna try?" I was like hell yeah. They said they needed an ID in order to play it. Luckily my cousin had one. Yeah. We played some car game. It was amazing that I finally played the Wii first hand. The controls were pretty difficult at first to control the car. I managed to get used to it. Well after playing for a few minutes. My and my cousin got off. Well let's skip most of the mall part and head to teh Raffle time mmkay?

My cousin's friends called saying that the line already started. Oh crap. We ran right out of the mall ran like 4 blocks to head to wal mart.
Man that line was LONG. But we managed to get a hold of a ticket.

After a few more minutes I got back in line again for one more ticket. Yes, I'm evil =]
I got the number 592218 (remember that) 30% of everybody that was waiting in line was playing with a DS
Luckily I played my cousin's. Great time wastin
After that we went inside walmart to walk around. Look around. Played the PS3. Since that's the only demo station around. It was pretty fun. Everyone was crowding behind me watching me.
Well, lets skip 2 hours in my story mkay?

Ah, yes the announcement of the tickets. They laid a bench on the side. I was the closest to the bench. We all circled around it. the workers will announce there in a mere 10 minutes. Then they left. Everyone there was having a nice conversations. Then suddendy a woman cried out something. Her son got hit by a egg by some asshole.

That dude ran like hell. The walmart guys caught him. Cops came. Took his license, because of him the whole raffle thing got delayed by 10 minutes. We all got mad.
Now finally they announced the first number. Dammit wasnt me. I had my 590219 in my hands. (592218 in my pocket because I fear being caught) Everyone claped and cheered for the first winner.

Second announcement. 592218. Dammit I miseed. Oh wait I have that in my pocket!!!

Yes, I went up to them. I showed them the ticket. Everyone cheered for me. I was so happy. But it was a shame that it wasnt a wii that I'm going to own. My cousin went to to me and went ballistic. Gave me 400 bucks. 100 for me. 300 for the wii. rest for the guys who drove us here.

Anyways. They handed me a reserve ticket for the Wii.

And told me to head to customer service with all the winners. I headed there. My cousin was like WOW. Unbelievable. I was one of the 20 out of a few hundred people. What are the odds.
Well my ticket said 19. The dude came and said 5 people at a time. From my ticket number. So I was kinda last. -.-

Some dude was talking to me. He was ticket winner number 22. The Wal-mart guys said if any of the other 20 winners credit card decline or anything the 21 or 22 may get it. I really doubt he will get it or anything. Anyways. He was talking about zelda. and So was I. Wal-mart guy came up.

15-16-17-19-20 Please follow me. I was so excited. Went up to the counter waited for 15,16,17,18 to finsh. The wii boxes were so awesome looking.Finally I came up. Showed them my ticket. Paid 300 bucks. Got my change.

Waited. Yes, Finally I have the Wii in my hands. Well now. My cousin's friend's were pissed because they hoped they would get a Wii. Well they drove us. Droped us off at a bus stop. It was really scary there. Mad shady people. I had to place my sweater in the bag with the Wii so it would look like its a bag full of clothes. Seems like someone is going to mug us. My cousin called his brother. He picked us up. His new car was so scary. It's makes a huge noise. It actually made one car's alarm go off. When we came home. I decided to go to my cousin's house. We played the Wii. Played Wii sport. It was incredible.

It's 3Am now. Yes, I'm really tired. I went back home went asleep. I had one HELL of a day. I'm glad I attended my first campout ever. Even though it's not really a campouts >.<
The Wii may not be mines but I had a good experience with it. And someday, I hope I can get my very own Nintendo Wii someday. Someday....

me and my friend jay (not kew, he had to work lol) went and played the wii on sunday! it was awsomeness! we played the dungen and fishing demos! i own at the bow and arrow! lol how much longer until ur cousin gets TP? when he gets it i bet ur gona play it heaps lol

Well I didnt have to wait in any lines. My Brother and Sister woke up at 4:30 this morning and got me one. I got the 26th Wii ant Wal-mart out of 28. Also I got Twilight Princess and it's hard as hell, the grafics on in are awsome I just became a wolf. Also if any of you have you internet connected can you help me cuz I've done almost everything and it won't work!Also I don't get why everyones saying Wii sports sucks i think it's really fun!

Yeah, that was an incredible story. Big adventure, or so . I'm glad that I dont have to wait for Wii. Just 8. december and got mine pre-ordered . I hope and wish you luck that you will get Wii very soon LeonChan .

people went crazy for the xbox 360 too, massive queue's and alot of angry customers who missed out, same will happen for the Wii.

Man I camped out yesterday all day suddenly 1 hour before midnight my Walmart said that the line had to be over there *lady points over* then damn people went crazy and ran over there and didn't mantain the order the people came over the day. I was 4th place and I ended up not getting one because of the damn walmart doesn't know how to organize stuff . I officially hate Walmart. Then I went to gamestop just hope to get one since Walmart and gamestop are close to eachother and no luck. Kmart nope. Ebgames nope. Another gamestop nope. After being camping in 4th place in line more than 24 hours walmart screws me over. Been waiting for Zelda since damn 2004 now I probably have to wait till next year. I cried. Yes I cried.

Well my story is this....

I waited at walmart for about 24 hours, my wife switched with me once in a while, and we got first in line, so then midnight finally came and I got my Wii, and Twilight Princess, and I LOVE THIS GAME, its really fun and the controls are so natural, I am really impressed and now I have my wife hooked.

Pre-Orders Rock.

Getting a Wii went pretty smoothly for me although I did have a bit of a scare. Since I had a Gamestop pre-order, I didn't have to camp out Saturday night. I arrived at Gamestop at 11:30 for the Wii countdown. I showed the guy my receipt and told him my name. He verified that I was getting a Wii, Wiimote, and A Nunchuck. I added "and Twilight Princess". He said "I have you down for the Gamecube version" I reply "WHAT!?!? I pre-ordered the Wii version when I got the Wii!" He mentioned that the guy taking the pre-order must have made a mistake. I then informed him that it was HIM that took my pre-order and his name was on the ticket. He told me that they had one extra Twilight Princess so he would give me that one since he did the pre-order wrong. Phew. That was scary. I paid the full amount then hung out watching people play the Wii, Guitar Hero, etc. They had the Zelda Cartoon going on a TV too. At about 2 minutes until midnight on the Wii countdown display he said screw it and started getting people's receipts and information to give them their Wii's. at 12:05 I had a Wii and was on the way home.

Hooray! I love my Wii.
