Why are man getting gay?

:(

It's against the word of god.

Sinners you are.

Do you speak reighteousness you silent ones,

do you judge uprightly You sons on men?

No in your hearts you work wickedness

you weigh Out the violence

of your hands in the earth.

Their poison is like the poison of a serpent,

they are like a deaf cobra that stops its ear.

Brake out the teeth of there mouth o God!

Let them flow away as waters.

When he bends his bow,

may his arrows be cut in pieces.

The righteous shall rejoice

when he sees the vengance

he shall wash His feet

in the blood of the wicked,

so that men will say

"surely there is a reward for the righteous."

Yes, it's against the Bible... but there are people who don't believe in its word and don't care, Adr....

But we are not to judge them, but show them the love of Christ, for we ourselves were sinners once and still do sin sometimes.

I understood it was a joke. Hence it being funny. ;)

Plus I was also referring to the series of funny posts afterwards... which was instigated by Dustin's perfectly timed lyrics.

It's against the word of god.

It's actually the word of a few men who worshipped him. Not God. God didn't write it.

Put your self-righteous, arrogant, and close minded where they belong, please.

Dragon, you might want to seriously watch your tone of voice towards a mod on here.

It's only "God-inspired" if you actually believe in God. Otherwise, it's just the words of men written in a way that gives them power to dictate the lives of others.

Mind if I jump in here a second?

First, Adr. I'm glad you're a Christian and I'm also glad you're living out your beliefs, but try not to call out gay people in a topic called "Welcoming all gay people." There are more appropriate places for that.

Second, DragonBottles and Kaseixjaa,

While the Bible was written by men, do you honestly believe that the men wanted to follow those laws? No sex before marriage? No money? Anything we as sinful human beings would consider "fun" down here is usually wrong in God's eyes. Why on earth would these men make up these laws just to discipline themselves and get themselves killed? I mean, really, what guy would make up a god knowing the rest of his life would be hell and he'd be tortured and killed for his beliefs?

Either these men were crazy, or there really is a God. I choose to believe the latter. The men died for their friend, who also happened to be God. Jesus taught them about love and forgiveness, and they had to watch him die. People couldn't take it that someone was actually better than them.

God teaches an afterlife, and told these men to abandon their earthly lives. He promised them that their afterlife would be infinite and they'd be like gods. Why would these guys make this stuff up? They were either insane, or they really knew God. And because they were friends of Jesus, who was a real person btw, the latter seems more plausible to me.

The origin of all good and righteousness does not stem from religion, zeldafancs. :/ We can figure out it's bad to be greedy or murderous on our own. But I see where you're coming from.

Adr, don't be so insensitive. You don't know where people come from, or who they are, or how they feel. If you seriously went through the exact same experiences they did, and still believe it's wrong, then sure, you can speak up. But you didn't, so please take your statements elsewhere.

Why would these guys make this stuff up? They were either insane, or they really knew God.

You know, Scientology and Christianity are about at the same level of far-fetchedness. I swear to you, if Scientology were created at around the same time as Christianity, it wouldn't be as looked down upon as it is today. :/ Point is, anyone can create a story, and anyone can convince people that their stories are true.

ie - Salem witch hunts.

Also,

wash His feet

in the blood of the wicked,

so that men will say

"surely there is a reward for the righteous."

THAT SOUNDS A BIT VIOLENT FOR GOD, THERE.

I DUNNO, MAN. IF IT'S NOT RIGHTEOUS TO KILL, THEN WHAT JUST HAPPENED?

Mods can't do crap about your tone unless you've broken some sort of rule.

At least, they're not supposed to.

Also, no, the Bible was written by men.

And rewritten by men, by the way.

But you know, humans are perfect and hate it when they get their way, so they didn't add or subtract anything like the Gospel of Mary or anything.

But God told them what to do, so it's all good.

But God didn't write it.

Also, being raised Catholic, I have to call you out. Forgive me if I'm wrong.

The Holy Spirit, God, and Jesus are all separate entities, Jesus and God being connected as alternate incarnations, but I don't recall anything connecting the Holy Spirit with God's persona.

Then being raised Catholic, you remember the creed?

"For us men and our salvation, he came down from heaven. By the power of the Holy Spirit, he was born of the virgin Mary, and became man."

also,

"I believe in the Holy Spirit.

The Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son.

With the Father and Son he is worshiped and glorified.

He has spoken through the prophets."

The Holy Spirit is a personal being, just like the Father and the Son.

The Spirit has personal characteristics:

1. He has intelligence (1 Cor.2:10-11).

2. He has emotions (Eph.4:30

Sorry I forgot that being a moderator here gives you the right to be arrogant and close-minded.

I am God. I wrote this post through this human.

Do you believe me? Thought not.
