    Do you know how inefficient it is to handle breadcrumbs in an mysql database? If there are lots of records and/or the nesting is very deep, performance degraded exponentially. I am avoiding breadcrumbing on Zeldafan for this reason. There are ways of handling recursive degradation with nested queries but they are never pretty.

    P.S. Zeldafan is now in closed beta.

    I hate how much I want to make Zeldafan.net public but I don't want to release it until it's more bugfree! It's such a huge project (~35,000 lines of code) that I'm afraid to go public with it yet. It's like a deviantart and a livejournal combined so it's crazy complicated... I especially hate the searching. Search algorithms suck! I need to add a google option in so people can bypass my horrible search (searches tags only right now) and use google.................................

    Everytime we had set up the modes, they were taking off. Our room was registered. We had put +s and +k on it and everytime we came back the modes had been taken off.

    That's because you haven't used the command: /chanserv set <#channelname> mlock <modes>.

    Maybe Dustin should add an option to the forums...

    Like, whether or not to have colored text in posts.

    That way, those who want colored posts can, and those who don't want to read colored posts don't have to.

    Then we'd all be happy. But can Dustin actually do that?

    Ok, so I load op mIRC. I start normally, but for some reason, it won't connect. (irc.microswift.com) I go to the chat page. I noticed that the port number is different, and that there is a question mark for the number of people in chat. Ii tries to connect, but if fails. Is it just me?
