  1. It's time once again for a Marvel What If? So take a seat and we'll explore the rise and fall of Alice Eve's Emma Frost.

For those who don't know Emma Frost was introduced in Uncanny X-Men #129 in January of 1980 as the "White Queen" of The Hellfire club and later as her given name in The Dark Phoenix Saga. Appearing first as a villain she eventually became a Hero and a trusted member of the X-Men.

When casting for X-Men First Class actress Alice Eve read for and won the role of Emma who was described as "An alluring and very powerful Psychic Mutant on par with Charles Xavier". Eve filmed many scenes for the film but test screenings were mixed and the character was rewritten numerous times. Fed up with the uncharacteristic changes Alice left and the part was recast by a pretty blonde zombie......excuse me I mean January Jones who lacked any screen presence at all and at times melted into the scenery .

  2. Can someone help me with something. In 2004 during the Twilight Princess reveal trailer at E3 they played a very exciting orchestral theme that wasn't Zelda music but from a movie. Does anyone remember what that song title was?

  3. In Captain America The Winter Soldier we were introduced to S.H.I.E.L.D's  S.T.R.I.K.E Agent Brock Rumlow who was secretly a Hydra sleeper agent. Rumlow is severely injured in the climax of the film but he will return in Civil War as his Marvel comics character Crossbones.

Actor Frank Grillo in a more toned down version of the costume.

  4. Today is very boring,

    it’s a very boring day

there’s nothing much to look at,

    there’s nothing much to say,

there’s a peacock on my sneakers,

there’s a penguin on my head,

there’s a dormouse on my doorstep,

    I’m going back to bed.

    Today is very boring,

    it’s boring through and through,

    there is absolutelty nothing

that I think I want to do,

    I see giants riding rhinos,

and an ogre with a sword,

there’s a dragon blowing smoke rings,

    I’m positively bored.

    Today is very boring,

I can hardly help but yawn,

    there’s a flying saucer landing

in the middle of my lawn,

    a volcano just erupted

less than half a mile away,

and I think I feel an eathquake,

    it’s a very boring day.

  5. There is no 616 Universe...!!

Also, Secret Wars is totally great. Picked up issues 1 and 2 and yeah, totally fantastic. Especially for a Game of Thrones fan like me.

Well now there isn't but there was.

If you liked the theme song to Netflix's Daredevil series it is now available in mp3 format .

  6. Still more of a teen than Andrew Garfield (31)

Yeah. Andrew Garfield is the Age Spider-Man is now in the 616 universe. Asa Butterfield is the age Ultimate Spider-Man was when he died.

  7. At first I was like "But he's not even cute!"

But now I'm like "I'm happy that they got a teenager to play a teenager"

He's 18 so in two years he's going to not be a Teen. I like how they are following the Ultimate Marvel canon more than the 616. Ultimate Spider-Man was a teen when he "Joined" the Ultimates (Avengers).

We've got some pics from the set of Jessica Jones, up first is David Tennant as Zebediah Killgrave the Purple Man (who is not very Purple in the shot. Most likely he'll get all purple when he uses his powers.

  8. The Coffee chain Starbucks was named after "Starbuck" a character from the Herman Melville novel Moby-Dick. This was a compromise due to the proposed name Pequod (the name of the Ship) being rejected.

  9. As if I didn't have enough to feel bad about today being Mother's Day it's the second year in a row I missed the dinner. On top of that my dad tells me that every once and a while he'll catch my Cat Louie standing motionless in my room as if waiting for me.

  10. I was actually kinda excited about Suicide Squad. I'm not at all familiar with it, but the premise sounds like Marvel's Thunderbolts, which is usually pretty fun. But then I saw the costumes and now I'm not excited. At least at the moment.

There's a good DCAU animated film called Batman Assault on Arkham which is all about Taskforce X (The Suicide Squad).

  11. I read that scarlet witch has a nip slip in one scene but it's mostly unnoticeable. HURR WHEDON puppyED UP AGAIN

But I really really hope we get a vision and scarlet witch sex scene in an upcoming movie!!!

If you really want to see Elizabeth Olsen nude she has done many nude scenes in movies.

  12. The Supergirl series has been ordered to series over at CBS. I'm curious to see how they handle the Character. That makes five tv series in or under development for DC. Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl and Titans, unfortunately Constantine was cancelled by NBC but they are looking for a new distributor.

  13. I wouldn't mind a Legend of Zelda experience ride or attraction. Like a screen accurate Temple of Time and Master Sword pedestal where you can pull it out (similar to the Sword in the Stone thing at Disney.

  14. It has been a very profitable year for Marvel, Age of Ultron crushed expectations and Daredevil was a boon on Netflix. In a show of support ABC announced a 3rd season renewal for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and a full second season order for Agent Carter.

  15. The synopsis for Captain America Civil War has been released:

Set for release in the United States on May 6, 2016, Captain America: Civil War is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo (Marvel’sCaptain America: The Winter Soldier, “Community”) from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely (Captain America: The Winter Solider, Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger). The film returns Chris Evans as the iconic Super Hero character Steve Rogers/Captain America along with Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye, Don Cheadle as Jim Rhodes/War Machine and Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch.

After his debut in Marvel’s Ant-Man on July 17, 2015, Paul Rudd will make his first appearance alongside the Avengers as Scott Lang/Ant-Man in Captain America: Civil War.

The cast of the film also includes Chadwick Boseman (42, Get on Up) as T’Challa/Black Panther, Emily VanCamp (“Revenge”) as Sharon Carter/Agent 13, Daniel Brühl (Inglourious Basterds,Bourne Ultimatum) as Baron Helmut Zemo, Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow/Crossbones, William Hurt (Marvel’s The Incredible Hulk) as General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross and Martin Freeman (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey).

Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After anotherinternationalicon1.png incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

  16. Um, Spider-Gwen. puppying Duh. (Or Miles)

I was talking specifically about Spider-Man, though a Spider-Woman film would be cool but I'd go with Jessica Drew or Julia Carpenter.

Actress Emily Van Camp will reprise her role of "Agent 13" in Captain America: Civil War, hopefully they will finally reveal that she is Sharon Carter, Peggy's Grand daughter.
