    Capcom and Airtight Games are working on an adventure saga called Dark Void, which will center on the uprising of a group of people with fantastic abilities taking on an alien race that have been observing Earth from a parallel universe...until now. The game will reportedly feature "a groundbreaking combination of fast-paced vertical combat mixed with mid-air and on-foot action" What console the game comes out is unknown, but it will be release in the winter of 2008.

    the release of Devil May Cry 4 for February has been confirmed. This means you'll be able to "kill" the hours of the long Winter while playing the next installment of the very successful franchise. This time, however, you will be able to play as Dante, and as a new character, by the name of Nero. Won't that be nice?

    Capcom insists that the new game will feature skill sets that are unique to each character that you can play. So, the battle of good vs. evil can rage on in new ways, and it will be playable on either the PlayStation 3 or the XBox 360

    Not long ago Sony unveiled a cheap new PS3 for sale in Europe and Japan. it doesn't play PS2 games and comes with a smaller hard drive and fewer USB ports than available in the full-size model. But it fixed the biggest problem with the PlayStation 3 its high price. Now Sony says that starting Nov. 2, the same model will be available stateside for $399.

    When it comes to critical approval, The Orange Box has crushed Halo 3 and Bioshock.

    A popular site Meta Critic gives The Orange Box an amazing critical score of 97, as opposed to 96 for Bioshock and 94 for Halo 3. That means OB will be one point more fun than Bioshock and three points funner than Halo 3.

    Seems kind of silly to grade games by points of "universal acclaim" though.

    The game's creative director, Patrice Desilets, said both the 360 and the PS3 present their own unique problems to the development of the game.

    Desilets says the development team is "really struggling right now on PS3" because of memory problems specific to Sony's console. The 360 on the other hand, may have too small DVDs to fit the entire game. "Right now we have a big challenge on the 360 to make it fit on a DVD, to put five languages, to put all the data on eight gigs. On the Blu-ray side we're really good," she said.

    The numbers are in for September, and according to videogame-tracking concern VGChartz, the 360 has outsold the PlayStation 3 and the Wii.

    Microsoft sold 520,698 consoles during the month, compared with 496,591 Wiis sold and 168,393 PS3 units. If you guessed "this is because of Halo", you're right--the third game in the shooter series put the 360 over the edge in sales, selling 3,196,516 copies since its release.

    The biggest selling console of the month, though, was the Nintendo DS. The system sold 620, 910 times.

    Back in 1999 a movie was released that mostly flew under the radar. Only appreciated in small circles of nerds, it didn't really find mass-market appeal, but was a chilling look into a possible future of the world.

    The movie was The Matrix and although you've probably never seen it, it involved the human race being enslaved in a virtual reality version of real life while being harvested for energy like batteries.

    Japanese scientists have just achieved the first step toward the eventual enslavement of mankind. They have created a system where a player can control an avatar in Second Life purely by the power of thought.

    yea, thats y i looked it up. my motto was dont give a f*** and then while i was playin it says u have been disconnected from xbox live.

    If you've got a bad motto in your Xbox Live profile you might find a present from Microsoft in your messages. a 24-hour ban.

    Some users are reporting that they've received 24-hour bans without warning and the only thing they seem to have in common is an explicit motto in their XBL profile.

    i dont think bungie would ever work with nintendo jus cuz they work with hi-def and the wii isnt exactly a hi-def console. so i think theres a better chance of bungie working with ps3. jus an opinon

    p.s. i havent really tried the wii on hi-def so dont go all ballistic cuz of wat i said.

    no reasons have been discussed. my best guess is the online play with no paying [damn Microsoft], but i guess Nintendo and Microsoft couldnt agree, jus a guess
