I hated the point system. My manager gave me a full point because I had an asthma attack and a seizure at work, he called an ambulance to take me to the hospital, then gave me the point for "leaving early" he then used all my vacation days instead of filing ,my short term disability. The union was absolutely useless in helping me fix that and I came back on a final written.

Also too many people just abused it, juggling points. Anytime they got "sick", immediately short staffed for three days. Wait till the points fall off, take more days off, rinse, repeat.

That being said, that manager was being investigated for some shady shit and I got to help on my way out. He got demoted to RSC and moved to a store in a shit location.

Not a cop, just a criminal psych major who has worked with LE and did time in an academy, never tested though. Also, oddly enough, not doing anything even remotely related to that in my line of work.
My first opinion, is never let a stranger use your phone. Seriously, not worth it, don't do it. Ever.
Second, if they do try to pocket it, let them. Let them take it, and remember everything you can about them. Inform the bus driver, and try to get someone to call the police to report the thef, be able to give an accurate description.

I would also highly recommend that you have a passlock on your phone, as well as "find my iPhone" on on iPhones, or a so liar tracking app on androids, these can effectively make the phone useless to the person who stole it and make it easy to find, if there is nothing major going on, police may come with you to retrieve it. With the iPhone, if you have it turned on, even if they wipe your phone you need the password to re activate it. May be small, but it will never be useful to a thief.

As far as your second option, there are some legal issues with carrying a gun on public transportation, even with a permit, in saint Louis at least. While I generally don't have an issue with carrying, this would not be an appropriate time to draw a weapon, and you are preparing to get beaten severely. Even the best of marksman would have trouble taking on 6 or 7 people in a confined space. Not to mention the innocents you could hit with overpenetration or missing, just not worth it over a phone.

Finally, I know every financial guy says not too, but get the insurance on your phone. Yes it's a monthly cost, yes it's a deductible. But it's a hell of a lot easier and cheaper than paying $700-900 for a new phone out of contract or while still paying an installment plan. The insurance with most carriers also comes with 24/7 tech support, and enhanced software for security.

Well....that turned out longer than expected, sorry about that.

    I donated $100 and prayers.

Those two things are not mutually exclusive, get off the high horse.

    *gets off high horse*

ETA: that seemed a bit harsh, rough weekend, apologies.

In all seriousness, is he checking markers for testicular cancer?

Pregnancy tests show positive when HCG is present which happens in pregnant women and can be a sign of testicular tumors in men. It's probanly nothing, but the tests are simple and you really shouldn't risk it.

Coffee shops generally are open places, the thing is Starbucks is a fast food chain draped in a coffee shop, this movement doesn't work when your core clientele are upper middle class whites who want a decent and quick cup of coffee on their way to work.

You would find this movement better placed at any of several local owned specialty coffee shops rather than a Starbucks

Just going to say this, public opinion is very important, but you aren't going to change anyone's mind by bullying employees who disagree with you. At no time and under no circumstance is that an appropriate or effective method of management or leadership.

Eh, you get more torque out of a two, and the redline isn't going to scream on that, so it won't be too bad.  The real key is NEVER BRAKE WHILE TURNING.  That will kill you faster than the motor any day of the week.  Good looking bike though.

My most recent purchase was a new external hard drive since my last one crapped out last week.

I'm a piece of shit that enjoys craft beer

I've unintentionally become a yuppie guys

IPAs are my jam tho, local beer as well. Then lagers, then ales. I will avoid light beer at all costs unless it's a $2 PBR tall boy and I'm getting shitty at a bar.

I've had trouble with sweet drinks recently, rum (gold or white) and coke zero is always my go to but I seriously love me a good gin and tonic now. The bitterness is good. I hate vodka. I dislike whiskey and bourbon. Tequila is alright. I can't take shots anymore.

Wine is nice, nothing sweet, prefer red. Bought this apple wine (?) that was also sparkling and it was a headache waiting to happen. Idk man I never thought I would ever dump something out for that reason but I couldn't drink it.

I like the seat so much. It's simple. I like the way it looks. Not too fancy and not too boring. Plus it has bags, which are annoying to put on and overprices to buy separately. Plus it's a motorcycle. Also it's gray. The best shade of gray. Also it has four cylinders as opposed to two, which mean it's a deathtrap

You know what injustice is?  Eric Garner.  That should be the figure everyone is rallying behind for change, but it won't happen till people calm down a bit. Everything is so violent right now, and it's really only making the case worse.

In other news, Saint Louis County Police are investigating possible charges against Brown's stepdad for inciting a riot, what with the whole screaming "Burn this mother puppyer down" shortly before they proceeded to burn that mother puppyer down.

Warm sake is good with certain foods, got a taste for that when I was in Tokyo, but it's hard to find really good sushi in landlocked Missouri.

As far as beer, I lean more towards bocks and reds, unfiltered wheats, and certain oatmeal stouts, the occasional lager and IPA, I avoid light beers at all cost. Also, chase is right, draught beer is king Schlafley is a local brewery that makes a coffee oatmeal stout that is exceptional. In my fridge right now is Kraftig, hoegarrden and killians red.

Saha, that was basically my first experience as well, for me, beer is something I generally only drink with food present.

PC gamer has an article from someone who got to demo the hololens at ces, he said it was interesting, but very incomplete still and the AR only affects your direct vision, not your peripheral, so it's kind of disorienting to use. Could be cool, but needs a lot of work.

TF2 is free, so you should definitely pick it up.

I will be honest, I suck at it, but I always have fun, and I never really get yelled at too much, most of the people I have come across are pretty easy going.  Competitive play is rough, but casual is fun and can get pretty silly.

I played TF2 with a headset like I've always dreamed of doing, and I've already been told I sound like I'm A. "some voice actor from Duck Tales" and B. "Rick from Rick and Morty"

Glad you were able to figure it out, and that it's not something with the hardware, that would have been a pain.

Skippy and I have been talking about it and trying to diagnose the problem, and it turns out the problem might actually be in the cord itself, not any software or anything. My headset and mic work fine when they're plugged into my phone, but when I run these through the splitter cord thing thats supposed to let me plug my headset into my mic jack and my headphone jack at the same time, thats where things get screwy. It's probably the cord's fault because when I switch the jacks around I get the exact same result, when what I should actually get is no sound at all.

I'm gonna try plugging this stuff into the back of my tower and see if that makes any difference. If nothing changes, I'll try and order a new splitter cord thing. Thanks for the help, guys! Skippy especially!

Actually, Alkara just helped me figure it out! Turns out the difficulty with the cord was actually because I had it plugged into the motherboard of my computer, so all I had to do was plug it into the back and now everything is working perfectly. Figures it'd be such a simple fix, right?
