Back in my first year of high school a had my wisdom teeth cut out beacuse they were groing in crocked.

Anyway, I would just carry something simple but effective. Baseball bats would do the trick. Maybe a frying pan, but that's too small to keep them away effectively. It's just not long enough, they could grab you before you could reach them. Besides, you'd be screwed if you ever wanted to use it for food again. Way to unhygienic.
