    I read some of the comment on that second article

    A child getting run over and nobody helping could happen anywhere.

    A driver intentionally killing the child because of a difference in compensation payments is definitely something I can see happening because of stupid Chinese laws.

    Or monetary intentions influencing a situation like this at all.

    But making the compensation payment larger isn't going to help either. A life isn't money.

    China's legal system just sucks.

    I told my roommate about it, and she said the same thing happened in new york with a man. and like two hours went by before anyone did anything.

    In the news clip for this I think they said like 6 or 16 minutes went by.

    The news guy first introduces the story, little girl walks into the street and gets hit by a car. But 18 other people walk by and nobody helps except for the 19th lady, who alerts the mother of the toddler.

    The dad cries as they show him the footage.

    They ask viewers to call a number if they have any information on the car that initially hit the girl, the license plate on the video was too blurry to identify.

    Then he goes on and talks about how disgusting it is that all those people walked by, and saw the girl, but didn't do anything. Talks about them being scared of prosecution, but then also says that they could've just stood there and made sure nobody else ran over her if they were afraid of touching her.

    Chinese people aren't indifferent to this. If they were, this wouldn't be on a Chinese news station, and the news anchor definitely wouldn't spend this much time talking about it.

    BUT YAH. Benjomans, the area is kind of ghetto here, but I love my classes and the student work posted in the hallways is fantabuloussss even for freshmen. it makes me angst inside.

    SCAD is really digitally oriented, but REALLY EXPENSIVE. (though, of all the art schools they like to give out scholarships like candy)

    If you want tips on different schools you should message me on skype or something.

    Also, Arachne, everyone is half asleep in my art history class lol (or drawing and not paying attention). The teacher is pretty monotone and the lights are always off for the projector. She's kind of a cute older lady, it's just she isn't the best at making things interesting. I guess it isn't that bad, but it's obvious everyone would rather be somewhere else.

    In my class anyway. Ben told me I should make an art thread, so here I am starting it.

    For those of you who don't know, I'm attending SCAD. (art school)

    pretty much doing art and art things twenty four seven.

    Lately I've been in sort of an art block with non observational stuff...

    my desk at colleeegegegegegegeee. I'm currently working on a makeshift shelf apparition for my top bunk. it's currently made of three paper box lids and much scotch tape.

    but you know, keeping vigilantes around is just good news for wolves. they can get a second kill per night for them, speeds up the process.

    Or, maybe teto's wolves can kill more than once a night. maybe there was some trigger? idk, but so far we know that cascade has killed someone. She could be a wolf in plain sight.

    And I'm not sure I buy all this watcher here and watcher there business. it sounds a bit fishy to me.
