Posted 17 Mar 2007 Let me help a bit. This plothole is something more subtle. This plothole is in OoT. This plothole has something to do with the Grandfather Paradox, obviously, so Google it. Posted 17 Mar 2007 The guy in the Windmill, guru-guru (it's funny that, when translated from Japanese to english is a chant for something that spins, so it is kind of a pun): He says he hasn't seen an ocarina in years, an that an annoying kid played a strange song which messed up the Windmill, then he teaches you the song, and you go back in time to drain the well. This is a paradox because you learnt the song from him in the future, and he learnt the song in the past. So in this repeticious cycle, where in the hell did the song come from!? So in other words the thing in question is the song of storms. This is sometimes known as a stand alone complex: Where a copies are created from something that never existed. Though this is generally used in a psychological context, like a copycat killer murdering someone because of his idol who never killed anyone in the first place.
