Mario Storylines

Besides when they are Mario RPG's, have you noticed that Mario games lack a bit in their storylines? (I chose the first choice, by the way.)

AND in the 9th choice, I meant to put:

I haven't played many Mario games, but there hasn't been much storyline in those I have played. I think it takes a bit away from the experience.

I think Mario Games' storylines are more focused to kids... But they're still very fun to play, so I chose the first option.

Well one of my top 10 favorite games is Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door.

That game has lots of story.

I don't really listen to the story lines unless it's a GOOD one like LoZ or StarCraft.

Well, I've only played Super Mario 64 and there's no storyline at all...

except for the letter at the begging and the cake at the end of the game. Still, I like it, it's about gameplay and jump over those Gombas

It is definately a gameplay genre. Mario being the original platformer. But most platformers only have enough of a storyline to make sure the player doesn't go: "Why am I doing this?"

Then again, theres always that one storyline for the Mario games that they never get rid of 'Save Princess Peach' its classic, and im happy they kinda twisted it around @times, like in Paper Mario (for N64) I was blown away it was awesome
