oh shit that one scared the crap out of me. It was the first episode I ever saw of that show, and the second. I couldn't watch if for years.

Same here. I watched it once and I couldn't sleep for days.

Though now I love the 3dish effects.

But now I miss Courage too. :(

Yeah, I didn't like Courage at all. It was a very twisted show.

It was amazing how much Courage the Cowardly Dog got away with while still being a kid's show.

It had gang violence, psychopathy, kidnapping, severe depression, and sometimes murder, I believe. Then there's King Ramses, which abuses all sorts of Uncanny Valley which also utilizes disturbing movements and upbeat off key looping music, which is the scariest kind.

In fact:

Getting Crap Past The Radar: The show's entire premise: adult horror played straight in a kids' show. It only gets away with it because of the Animation Age Ghetto. Several more specific (and traditional) examples as well.

TV Tropes didn't inspire this topic, by the way.

I've always marveled at how Courage the Cowardly Dog was so twisted and yet stayed in Cartoon Network's lineup.

Also, Ringo Starr is the Duck Brothers. All of them.

Those were the good 'ol days.

Pretty much every original Cartoon Network 90s show is eighty times better than any current CN program. :/

They were more intelligent and had less restrictions (obviously) that network producers apparently now fear.

No one wants to take a good risk and show something like Courage.

That show scared me so much, and still does. Yet I somehow liked it anyway. But now... *shivers*

I loved Courage so much.

Big, big part of my childhood, along with Dexter's Lab.
