As in, how the movie wrecked the cat-and-mouse formula and chronological setting of the whole thing, plus the random disappearance of the shinigami, plus how they messed with the canon by making the detective system run alphabetically?

I mean minus all that stuff, I was real sad that L had to die.

His actor was pretty accurate, in regards to being L-like.

L was supposed to be british... Why'd he sound like a tard when speaking english?

I liked the movie though, pretty sad. The actor was pretty good too.

According to the Death Note official character guide thing:

" I think of him [L] as a quarter Japanese, a quarter English, a quarter Russian, and ... maybe a quarter French or Italian? Something like that." - Tsugumi Ohba

But yea, I think he was raised in England.

Yeah, he was raised in Whammy House or whatever I believe.

Was he raised there or did he start the house? I can't remember.

Not sure. I think he might have been raised there. Watari's an old bloke after all.

Pheo, we're talking about Death Note.

By the way, does anyone know where Light makes a cameo appearance in the movie?

One of my favorite movies of all time. It's awesomeness. :squint:

Whammy's House was started by Watari, and he brought L there, one of the first. But L did teach a lot of the students, including Near and Mello. Never in person though, only through his laptop.

F was awesome, too bad he died in the very beginning. K was a bit of a psycho, but she was almost as smart as L.

Yeah, it was a very sad movie. Still love it though. Geez, how many times must L save the world? D|

Only however many times he did.

Dude's dead now.

Still not a fan of the alphabet detective thing.

Yea, the alphabet system sounds lame. I never saw the movie though.

HRNGGg I refused to watch this movie because they replaced Near and Mello's characters

with Thai kids

/Near was my favorite character

The part where they gave Near's name a backstory was the cheesiest thing ever.

Also how he started saying the numbers in English over and over and over.

I mean, he wrote the number on the board.

IT'S PRETTY OBVIOUS.
