I found out it was link in melee, before it had been the classic mistake of calling him zelda (hey the mario games are named after the main character) and then "the guy from zelda".

I geuss i only had ocarina of time to make that mistake tho :S

Link does talk they just never show him talking in TP the people are like "the kids are in that village (forgot the name) thats a relief"
